“You may not get what you book”
Reviewed 8 April 2012 via mobile

While the hotel staff is as friendly and helpful as previous posters stated, the ownership is a little more callous. In order to attend a party for a friend in Bisbee we researched and found El Dorado had great Tripadvisor reviews so we went to their web site and found only suites 3 & 4 were available for the Saturday night of the party. We specifically reserved suite 4 because it was on the end of the first floor and had the wider balcony. We arrived to find that we were booked into suite 3. The office manager contacted the owner who said she HAD to give suite 4 to someone else and to tell is that their web site has a caveat that nothing is guaranteed. We were not contacted by the owner when this switch was made so we would have time to reconsider our booking. This action by the owner demonstrates an underlying attitude toward the customer!

We regret that the situation was so poorly conveyed to you. As innkeepers for the past 27 years we have never been callous towards our guests. We have always gone above and beyond to serve their needs. Situations like this very rarely occur at the Eldorado. In fact, since our inception we have only had to change rooms twice.
Contrary to this review, no specific request was noted in the online reservation to indicate that a room change would pose a problem, and Suite #3 was considered an upgrade. If we had been aware of a request we would not have even considered changing suites.
Even so, we are very sorry you were so disappointed.

We are Lizard Head Cycling Guides and we stay here for a reason. On our tour around the area, we ride from Tubac to Bisbee over Mule Pass and it is exciting arriving to Bisbee and the Eldorado Suites. Cozy, charming apartment style suites make you feel like you are at home. And the bonus is it sits right above the brewery! Can't wait to go back in the fall! The only issue is if you drive a van/trailer or anything bigger then a car/truck, parking is very tricky.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a patio that overlooks the old town. The ground floor rooms are our favorite for...

My husband and I and our two kids spent a night there recently and only wish that we had booked it for longer. We had fantastic service and great suggestions from the staff/owners on what to do in Bisbee. The bed and accommodations were very comfortable, our view of the mountains was beautiful and we were walking distance to everything we wanted to do during our stay. We had no problem with parking. Our suite was very clean and spacious. We will definitely be back and have all ready had friends make reservations. I found it somewhat difficult to find a quaint place that was agreeable to having children stay in Bisbee and was so pleased to find Eldorado. Though they accept families, our experience was quiet and peaceful.

We just spent two nights in a suite there. It had a living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. Only one bath. Place is clean, and overlooks brewery gulch. The roof in front is the Old Bisbee Brewery, which is terrific. Easy walk to the downtown shops, restaurants, and such. Fun old rooms in nice condition. Very good place.

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, we could walk to everything we wanted to see while we were there. We stayed on the 3rd floor and you could see around the city. The bed was very comfortable and having the kitchen was an added bonus. there was also a sitting area with a flat screen TV. Having a patio to sit outside and relax really made for a great weekend. The front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: We had the 3rd floor thinking we would get more of a few, but the way the hotel is situated, I think...
