I love this hotel! I love the complementary breakfast that they serve! The whole experience makes you feel like you’re in a different world and isn’t that the point of a vacation! I’ve been there many times and have never had an unpleasant stay! If you’re expecting conventional and no adventure then this may not be the place for you!

Check in is in the saloon bar. Had to initial in many places the rules and regulations for staying at the hotel and our suite, the Oriental Suite. Stairs to first floor accommodation as there's no lift. The suite certainly is oriental! Black and gold wall paper, large oriental bed which you need a step to get on to it. Lots of ornaments and dolls around. The curtains were too small for the windows and consequently have gaps in them when closed allowing light in and a lack of privacy. One of the rules was that the shower curtain has to remain inside the bath when showering but they leave it outside for your arrival! No ceiling lights, not many lamps and hardly any power points for plugging in chargers No coffee tray in room either. Suite is above the bar and live music was on in the bar and while you can hear it, they finished around 11pm which didn't bother us. Breakfast is served around the first floor landing between 8-9am. Reasonable selection for breakfast but it's all bit disjointed, with everyone getting in each others way. I'm not sure about staying here in very warm weather as there no air con, only ceiling fans. The hotel has on olde worlde feeling which is both quaint and quirky.

We went for our anniversary. You sign in at the Saloon, which is a quaint idea. They had a problem finding our reservation, but resolved that quickly!

The rooms are upstairs, they said there were some downstairs but were occupied. The room was in period design. Had to initial that we wouldn’t destroy any Antiques or have wild parties(at my age a party is chips n dip and a soda)!! There was a vase without a lid (chipped) of dubious vintage on the antique, but not well cared for table! (Water spotted). I can buy better antiques at Goodwill! (But to be fair they do have true lovely antiques in cabinets in the upstairs foyer, which I didn’t see until the morning breakfast!)

They serve a lovely fresh breakfast on the landing or you can sit outside on either the front veranda to watch the downtown waking up, or an area between the building, good use of limited space).

Bed was ok but room was pretty small. We looked through the other rooms and most were larger than ours. The ‘wallpaper’ in our room was actually rose fabric! Door handles are glass and key hole.

Small staff but room needed better cleaning since there was a left over chap stick by the bed on the floor. Toilet is size for kindergarten child. Need good knees to get down/up on this!

We had planned on 2 nights but decided 1 was enough for this experience.

If we go to Bisbee again we’ll stay at the Copper Queen. They have an elevator and larger rooms and are cheaper!

A quaint gem in Bisbee. This is not the Plaza but is a reminder of what Bisbee was like many years ago. This is an old hotel with all of those foibles that come with old buildings and history. It was not designed as a CAD drawing in a modern architect's office and anyone who thinks it will be like that should stay elsewhere. Some other reviewer complained that it didn't have an elevator, to attempt to put one in would destroy the charm of the building.

The staff could not have been more accommodating. Breakfast was good but the layout of the building for breakfast caused the residents to engage in conversation with each other. Something rare in a sterile modern hotel. One common comment was that each of the couples thought that we were the only resident such was the quietness of the building.

Only complaint there was no visit from the resident ghost!

Stay here if you plan a trip to Bisbee. So many people just come for the day, but so many miss out on the quaint town's offerings. The Bisbee Grand is so charming and every staff member is so accommodating and friendly.

Sure it's not the Hyatt. But do you come here wanting that?! Based on some not so favorable reviews below, I wonder if they actually stayed in the same place. Sure there are some muffled noise issues, plumbing mentions and an interesting check in process; but that is what this place is. Perfectly imperfect.

I stayed in the Garden Suite. The decor and charm is indescribable as it's so perfect; The bed incredibly comfortable (which is what really matters); The breakfast filling and the overall stay 6 dots!

Truly, what a magical place you have here. Thanks for making this experience one of my faves.
