“Fabulous villas!”
Reviewed 28 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We can’t recommend or praise these villas highly enough. You get everything it says on the tin and much more.

In a gorgeous location, 15 mins pleasant stroll, or a five minute bike ride from town, in one of the quieter parts of Dalyan, these villas have everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Secluded yet close to town, independent, yet with the security of the nearby Metin Hotel for emergencies or back up.

And the surroundings! You know when you’re booking that the villas are in a rural setting in a pomegranate orchard, but until you get there you don’t realise just what that means or how stunning it is. The views from every room are incredible and with no one overlooking you, it makes the experience feel very exclusive. There is one other villa nearby, but far enough away to still feel private and that house is backing onto you anyway.

The villas are absolutely lovely, without you feeling that you’re terrified to use anything – a proper home from home. They’re tastefully decorated in white, creams and beiges with a splash of colour here and there. Rooms are spacious and light with comfy, top quality beds and absolutely LOADS of well thought out storage space. The rooms are exactly as they’re described on the website. A massive, upstairs double bedroom with an enormous ensuite wetroom and a small single room. There was also a cot upstairs in our villa (no 3) as well - which would be perfect for a young couple in a family party with a toddler and a baby. Downstairs two bedrooms – a twin and a double – with a bathroom in-between them. These are rooms with French doors leading to private terraces. Each villa is identical and also have large, comfortable living rooms and big kitchens combined.

The kitchens are amazingly well equipped with everything you could think of – even herbs and spices, tin foil, tea bags, dishwasher tablets, matches, bits of string for emergency repairs! Loads of utensils and crockery, glasses of every type, a microwave obviously, a cafetiere, a juicer – you name it. There was nothing practical we needed to go out and buy.

The owner, Helena, is also on the end of a phone for anything you might need, or any questions you might have (we found whatsapp and texting useful for communicating, especially in the first couple of days when we had a few questions but didn’t want to harass Helena by ringing her two or three times in one day!) and having the security of the Metin Hotel, which the family runs just down the way, was an added bonus.

I lived in fear of someone in our party locking themselves out and none of us having a phone with us, but knowing we could call into the Metin provided great peace of mind. You could also park the villas’ bikes there, which was a great help if you wanted to shop without walking to and from town first. We also found the bikes really handy for just use for popping down in five mins to the shops, if you forgot anything and we enjoyed pootling round the country lanes near the villas, exploring. Its flat and easy cycling round Dalyan, even for people (like me) who hadn’t been on a bike in years. We thought they were a great asset and couldn’t have done without them.

There were only ten in our party staying at the villas – two couples in two villas, one couple in the third - and this felt very luxurious, with so much space and all the facilities. But that also would work well for much larger parties (the villas sleep a max of 21), as the houses are spacious, the grounds around the villas are extensive and the two private terraces at the back, leading out from the downstairs bedrooms, are peaceful, secluded and with good garden/patio furniture for relaxation, privacy and quiet. There’s obviously the two lovely pools, with absolutely loads of sunbeds and rattan armchairs for relaxing with a drink at gin or beer o’clock.

Talking of beer, we had the idea of asking Helena if she could order us in some crates of beer and packs of water and this she very kindly did - and at cost price. I can highly recommend groups doing this as it saved us dragging in heavy supplies and meant that shopping wasn’t so onerous, or murderous on the arms. Helena didn’t mind sorting this out for us and it really was a godsend for groups who haven’t hired a car.

What else? Well there is a little BBQ at the villas, but not quite large enough for a party of ten, so the grills came into heavy play. But it was fun to cook some of the food outdoors and have a family dinner outside near the pool, not having to worry about any noise we were making having a good time!

One last thing – the two pools are well maintained and cleaned on a daily basis, usually about 8.45am, which didn’t disturb us at all.

All in all, a brilliant holiday was had and there’s already been talk of going back to the villas at some point – both as a large group and a separate smaller one. It really was that good.

We visited in September 2013 and rented all 3 villas. The quality of these villas are excellent with a good attention to detail two swimming pools lovely spacious bedrooms everything a family could want. Dalyan was within walking distance with good friendly restaurants and bars, if you visit you must ask Hellena to organise the boat trip out to visit the turtles an absolute must. Great visit and we will definitely return. Terry

“One of the very best places in Dalyan!”

Well - was not sure that we should write this review...would actually like Pomegranate garden villa Artemis to be our secret place in Dalyan. But then again it is not really fair.
Beauty is all over Dalyan and turkish people in the area generally open minded and warmhearted.
What made this stay so perfect was the true unintrusive helpfullness of the owners, the location of the property in isolation and silence in the middle of a pomegranate garden, yet only 10-12 min walking to the village. And the VERY well equipped house - especially the kitchen. In an area bursting with fruit, vegetables, fish e.g. this is a must. Places like this makes one grateful.

Thank you very much for staying with us and taking the time and trouble to review our properties. We really appreciate it and are happy to hear that you enjoyed your holiday at our villas.
Fantastic idea to have a quiet pool for the older members and a noisy pool for the younger members of large family groups. It was so lovely to see three generations of the same family holidaying together. We would love to see you again.
