This was our third family getaway to Hatcher Pass B and B and our first summer stay. We have stayed in the Grande Cabins. The place is kept beautiful inside and out. Liz and her husband give great service and are just a call away if you need anything. Our sons love staying in the loft and my husband and I in the private bedroom. A friend that we brought along stayed on the futon in the living room, so we all were able to have our own space.

We love the location which has enabled us to have outdoor fun in any season in Hatcher Pass. We have hiked, toured Independence Mine State Park, and used the nordic ski trails in the winter. The vistas in the pass are truly breathtaking. Then after our excursions we have the B and B's cozy, comfortable accommodations to relax in., while we enjoy each other's company and sometimes a DVD.

Liz stocks a hearty breakfast and we certainly enjoy the eggs, sausage and homemade muffins that we can eat on our own schedule in the mornings. I really like how this makes our getaways so easy.

We have enjoyed several family getaways here and plan to do it again. The location, comfort, and beauty of this B and B make it a place we all look foward to going back to.

My daughter, granddaughter and I recently spent a night one of the grande cabins and enjoyed our stay tremendously. We had just left the overwhelming mass of tourists in Denali and this lovely, quiet, beautiful place was perfect. The decor was lovely and the beds were comfy. It has a full kitchen that is fully stocked with goodies for breakfast. The muffins were wonderful. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

We did not get to stay at this B&B as much as we had hoped. We ended up doing a lot of sight seeing and getting in late and then getting up early to leave. We were pleasantly surprised that, after days of B&B's with just muffins and cereal, we had eggs and sausage with english muffins.

This cabin is quaint and perfect for the weary traveler. It is right off a semi- busy street and next to a gas station, which we thought would be troublesome at first, but ended up not even being an issue.

The owner, Liz, was very friendly and although we did not get to meet, I did talk to her on the phone a couple of times and she was very pleasant.

Overall, this is a wonderful little B&B. I would recommend a stay!

Oh, and the price is right too.

Preparation for our trip started in March. Set everything up online then called and spoke with Liz our Innkeeper to make sure everything was in order. It was. This was our first trip to Alaska and Liz had plenty of local info available. She even emailed back directions the same day so no maps or GPS were necessary. We opted for the smaller cabin which was the perfect size for the two of us. Breakfast items were replenished daily by the time we returned from our travels during the day. We really appreciated the extra little goodies that we left that Liz bakes herself. Their black lab will greet you every time you roll in and loves to play fetch with anyone willing. We absolutely recommend Hatcher Bed & Breakfast. You won’t be disappointed.

This was our first time staying at a B&B and LIZ set the bar high. She was incredibly accommodating for our needs! The cabins are a true log cabins and the grande cabin we stayed in was very roomy with cozy living room and dining room, kitchen and sit/eat at bar and 1 br w/ queen on main level and a loft with a queen and a double . This was a treat for my family of 4 not to have to get 2 separate hotel rooms. The beds were very comfy, the price was great - normal or below what you'd pay for just an average hotel room, and there is even Wi-Fi. Great location and easy to find plus convenient to Wasilla, Hatcher Pass and Palmer. Also a nice place to stay if you're going to Matanuska Glacier (little over an hour drive - breaks up the trip from Denali)! Be sure to take a moment and play fetch with precious Amorita (sweet black lab!) Also an easy to use website and just call if any questions. Liz will gladly help however she can! Thanks Liz!!!
