Our group had our first dinner on Aitutaki at The Boat Shed.
The restaurant is quite large and has an interesting decor. We were seated inside and, during our dinner, it became a little stuffy. During the day, there are tables outside. It looked like a great place to sit with views to the lagoon but, as it turned out, we didn't make it back to have lunch here.
The service was efficient and friendly and the menu had an interesting focus on Asian cuisines, including Japanese, and there were a number of sashimi dishes on offer.
I opted for the fish and chips with salad with a locally-caught fish. The meal was delicious.
A large party of Japanese people were dining at a table next to us and they had caught tuna that day. They kindly offered us a plate of tuna sashimi which was very tasty.
We had a very enjoyable evening.
