This place was amazing! It's a quiet place in the middle of nature. The chalet is incredible, very spacious and comfortable. If you're ever looking for a place around quepos, this is the place to stay.

Perfect location and wonderful property. A great choice for those who chose the road less traveled. Clean and well maintained, all you need to enjoy your trip. Pierre defines hospitality and is always available. If you need a/c then make another selection...fans are all you really need.

Very good choice for those who choose the path less taken. Perfectly maintained and pristine. Pierre defines hospitality and is always available. If you must have a/c then I suggest another choice, but otherwise perfect. Who knows he may install a pool one day...it would then be classified as heaven

“Peaceful Pristine Chalet”

We stayed a week in the chalet and loved every second of it.

This location is perfect if you want easy access to Quepos via bus or rental car, but want the privacy and seclusion of the jungle.

It is very safe, in a gated community, with 2 gates from the main road and a locking hate around the chalet as well. The water is also perfect to drink which saved us time and money.

All amenities are available to cook, shower (in and outdoor), do dishes, and use wifi/electronic devices. The outdoor shower is awesome for rinsing off after a day at the beach or for a reprieve from the heat.

It is very clean and modern, but this is Costa Rica, make sure all your food stays in the fridge and isn't left out. There are bugs, but they are not a bother unless you don't clean up.

Pierre is an exceptional person and was one of the most helpful people we have rented from.

“Ideal forest chalet away from the beach & town crowd”

Pierre was a wonderful host. He will either make arrangements for you to get to Quepos by car from the airport outside of San José or he will meet you in downtown Quepos if you are coming by car to point out some of the highlights of the town and lead you to the chalets, 3 kilometers up in the hills above Quepos. There are three well equipped chalets or cabins, two being sufficient and one is luxurious. All three are surrounded by forest and you are not aware of the other two cabins when you are in yours. In each is a simple but nice bathroom with shower, toilet and sink and a very well equipped kitchen with large refrigerator and freezer, gas oven and burners, pots and pans, utensils, dishes, coffee pot and even a blender for making cane sugar based alcohol fruit smoothies, mmmm…. My cabin did not have a microwave but I understand that that is in the works. Please be aware that in Costa Rica, most rental apartments do not supply provisions such as oil and vinegar, although there was salt, pepper and sugar. Furniture included a large bed with a very comfortable mattress, desk and chair and armchair. Each chalet/cabin is surrounded on 2 to 3 sides with a porch on which there is a dining table and chairs, two armchairs and coffee table. There is a ceiling fan on the porch as well as in the cabin. Please note that all windows and doors have screens, so there is no fear of being bitten by mosquitoes. Of course all linens are provided and the cabins are very clean. If you don’t have a car, there is a public bus in to and out of Quepos that stops at the entrance to the property every 45 minutes although there is a fairly steep 250 meter climb up to or down from the cabins. If you want to get away from the “city” and beach, the chalet/cabins are ideal. The only noises you hear are the birds and the insects as the cabins are surrounded by plants and trees and gardens, although there is the occasional motorcycle that zooms by on the road below. As a dog lover, I appreciated the daily visits of Pierre’s three boxers. My week there went by in a flash and I totally enjoyed staying there.
