We stayed at the Falls during the last portion of our 10 day Costa Rica honeymoon. Our room was way in the back of the property and was perfectly secluded and quiet. We even had a patio with a hammock! The outdoor fan made sitting outside super comfortable. Our room was a standard room but was beautiful. We had a mosquito net but did not need it. We had a great a/c in our room, TV, and fridge. The bathroom was spacious with a nice big shower. The room had great lighting with multiple lamps and recessed lighting. We are big on lighting! The only weird thing was there was no phone in the room to be able to call the front desk. We had to walk to the front a couple times to ask questions. But it was fine. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. There is lots of wildlife on and around the property. You can hear the howler monkeys and all sorts of birds at sunrise. Occasionally we saw wildlife scurry around the grounds which was definitely a perk! It felt luxurious but also authentic & rugged. The bar and restaurant were AWESOME with great drinks and food. Prices are reasonable, also. Try their guaraparina cocktail for happy hour! They have wonderful bartenders who use local liquors and flavors to make really tasty drinks. We spent a lot of time just sitting and chatting with the bartender. The pool is beautiful there and is nearby the bar & restaurant. The front desk was very helpful with things to do around the area. The hotel is within walking distance of a few great restaurants, too if you choose to venture out. We loved the falls!! We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Our room was a Standard room, and it was wonderful

Nice place, beautiful garden, nice rooms but lacking. Shower head feels like pins hitting your body. Not very friendly here , the least friendly of our trip. Case in point, all in 5 minutes. Asked for change for $20. No dollars for change, had to give them reservation name to get change. Went to the bar, happy hour. 2 drinks for $6. They had to be the same drink, “it’s the law”. Oh please. No smiles on any of the help. Good drinks, beautiful garden, ok rooms but.

We stayed here for two nights with a small child. I absolutely loved the property. As you will see from other reviews and pictures, it's in the middle of lush flora, complete with plenty of fauna (we saw iguanas, agoutis, and more). I would have loved to give a 5 star, but unfortunately, the resort is probably not ideal for families with infants or young children.

There is a decent amount of walk to get from the reception to your room - through a narrow paved path which goes up and down. The biggest pet peeve was the lack of a phone in the room. While some may want to be unconnected from the world, for us it was just a lazy excuse in pretense of being "hip" and "close to nature" or whatever.

You want some food for yourself? Walk up and down to and from the reception area. Want to know if you can get some milk for the baby? Walk up and down. Actually time to get some milk? Walk up and down. Want to know what time the restaurant closes? Walk up and down. Want to know if you can request for laundry now? Walk up and down. And so on and so forth.......

Also, the property, no matter how gorgeous, was missing some upkeep. There were multiple broken electrical switches or points in our room. The colonial style window shutters were broken in a few places, reducing privacy The room door didn't have a good seal, as there were many bugs and a millipede in the room during our stay.

The WIFI didn't work in our room at all. Again, the hipster-neckbeard crowd would probably go brouhaha over not having internet, but when you have a small child and are trying to select seats together on the flight at check-in, you won't be thrilled.

The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, I must mention that! I hope that the upper management/ owners(s) take a note of the basic failings. If you have a 5-star rating of TripAdvisor right now, it doesn't mean that you will have it forever!

We stayed at the Falls for 7 nights. The rooms are clean and very nice, grounds are beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. We also ate dinner here a couple nights. Excellent food and very convenient. Pool area is small but very adequate as most people are on tours all day. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice, clean, inexpensive place to stay

This was the first place we stayed during our travels in Costa Rica. We very much enjoyed the time spent at The Falls Resort, the gardens are beautiful, plenty of spots to relax and enjoy a beverage from the bar. There is a small but nice pool to cool yourself from the heat, it is open all hours.
We found the food to be very good, even better with the 20% discount for drinks and food for guests of the resort. The free breakfast kept us going until late afternoon. There is a buffet of fresh fruits, banana bread, toast, cereal and yogurt. Plus you get a selection of 3 things from the menu, eggs, Gallo pinto, hash browns, pancakes or French toast. Luis our morning waiter was a huge reason for our stay being so pleasant. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful with local knowledge, setting up tours or just conversation.
If we ever find ourselves in Manuel Antonio we will be staying at The Falls.

Muchas gracias!!!
