Yes, the dining room is very basic - tables, chairs, flatscreen TV - but the food is the draw.
I ate at Amapola maybe 10 times over the last two weeks, and all meals were very good. The menu doesn't change, and I homed in on my favorites pretty quickly: casado pescado entero (whole fish plate - the fish crusty and wonderfully spiced); pescado en salsa (mixed seafood with curry-ish sauce - fabulous!); arroz con pescado (mixed fish fried rice - think: paella).
Just writing about it makes my mouth water.
