This was an amazing experience! It was wet all the way. We were surrounded on three sides by water and it rained three quarters of the time. But we knew that and the rain was warm.
They have covered boats if you wish, but you don't see as much. With a rain cape you see more and who cares about getting wet?
The guides are amazing at spotting wildlife and the boat trips through the channels are not to be missed.
Manatus is a dormitory village where many of th staff live so very basic.
The rooms are set out in blocks between the water and the jungle. Very comfortable with 2 double beds, mini bar, chair etc
NB mosquitoes are here although we didn't have too much trouble
Food was very good, espcially the fish, and the service excellent with waiters who had a sense of fun.
A short foray into the jungle revealed all manner of insect and frog life at the expense of kamikaze mosquito attack.
Well worth a visit
