This is the second time in 7 months that I visit this hotel with my family. It has everything on our wish list: convenient location (Cocles), beautiful and comfortable bungalows (with A/C, private bathroom with hot water, free Wi-Fi, tv with cable and hammock) in the middle of the jungle, awesome pool with wet bar (Junior the bartender is awesome too!), delicious buffet style breakfast included, super friendly customer service and reasonable prices. The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is because our room had only 2 beds and we needed 3, but they resolved it quickly and brought us an extra bed right away. We will definitely be staying there next time we’re in town.

I was upstairs in a four-plex building. The room was clean and the a/c was sufficient. The resort is nice just older. The staff were very nice and the food was great. few min walk to beach. All was very good.

Recently went with the family to Costa Rica and stayed on the Caribbean side for 2 days to see the sites. We booked this hotel from the many reviews and pictures. We got to the hotel late at night (10:00 pm). We had alerted the hotel the previous day that we would be arriving late as we were driving from the Pacific coast. We arrived in the rain after a VERY long drive. The hotel manager met us where our rooms were located...no outside lights, pouring down rain and had to walk a path in the pitch black upstairs with luggage and kids in tow. Finally got into room and the smell of the cleaning solution used was overwhelming. Room was right on the noisy street side. We woke up the next morning, had the breakfast (which was limited for what we were paying to stay here). Staff wasn't friendly or helpful in anyway. The walls are extremely thin as we could hear everything next door. We did have one AC unit in our "beach front" room, however it just cooled one area of the room. Shower was clean, which is a plus. For the amount of money you pay to stay here, they should be more accommodating, the breakfast should have more selection and overall the staff should be more welcoming.

The property is amazing & the service & hospitality of the staff & manager Ziggy.is A-1.

A great beach is right across the street but the hotel has a beautiful pool with swim up bar if you want to swim with a jungle feel.

We booked this hotel due to reviews and it's accessibility to the beach plus air con rooms,
We stayed in a bungalow, hotel is set back of main road( which is been resurfaced presently)
Hotel is quiet with a pool and swim up bar which sometimes we had to go find someone to serve us
Bungalows are rustic but clean with air con, set in amongst the trees makes it have a tropical jungle feel.
Beach is a short walk down the drive and over the road, as far as I understand there are no private beaches in Costa Rica
We didn't chose to eat in the hotel as there are a lot of choices nearby
Remember to bring your own beach towels
Ticked all our boxes, clean quiet and secure
