When we arrived on the bus from Bocas del Toro the first place we approached was full and a guy we met on the bus reccomended Pagalu. We ended up staying a week in a private room. The room was clean with a comfortable but firm bed and a lot of small touches that were well thought out. We enjoyed the large open air kitchen which was well equipped. We especially enjoyed the preparing the fresh fish we bought at a little seafood market down by the beach. The communal area was pleasant. Wifi worked well. Coffee and tea available all day. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The owners/staff are efficient and provided excellent information regarding local activities. It is a very secure place. There is a supermarket just half a block away which was very convenient. During our stay it was quiet and not a loud party spot. They do not take reservatons thus allowing for extension of your stay day by day. It is popular and was usually full with people being turned away so try to get there early.
