I just got back from a two night stay here as part of a larger tour. The pool and hot springs are beautiful. The rooms are beautiful but the walls are so thin that you can hear your people in the room next door talking at a normal voicel. Bugs are also a problem. In all the hotels that we stayed at in Costa Rica we never had the number of bugs we had here. Beds were a little firm but the pillows were wonderful so it balanced out. We did not get to see the volcano glowing but it was still beautiful.
Wherever you stay enjoy Costa Rica!

hello friend, we appreciate your comments and we thank you because thanks to the comments we can see which area requires improvement, we're sorry for the inconvenience of insects, the reason for this problem is due to heavy rains these days most of the insects seek dry places to escape the rain.
thanks anyway and we hope that everything in your home this very well, God bless you much.

We stayed at Arenal Springs Resort for one night in February. It was the only day (we spent 3) that it was a little cloudy and rainy. It didn't really matter as we spent the time in the hot springs which are beautiful as are the surrounding grounds. The rooms are large, the bathrooms are beautiful with the shower being open to the outdoors. There are rocking chairs on the porch. As other reviewers have stated - the beds were very uncomfortable. The staff was friendly when we arrived. The dinner in the dining room was not very good and the waiter was not friendly (although the hostess was friendly). It is not walkable to any other restaurant. Overall it was a nice place to stay and a good value for the hot springs.

Room Tip: We had a room quite a distance from the springs and dining room which was fine for us and was very p...

We stayed here as part of our trip with Caravan Tours. The entire facility is very attractive. However, be aware that the rooms are the equivalent of 2-4 blocks from the lobby and restaurant but the hotel does provide golf cart transportation. I had a bad experience of being badly bitten during the night but that was my only "bug" experience in 10 days. The food was average and served buffet style and the service staff was responsive. We did not use the hot spring facility at the hotel but went to Baldi Hot Springs about 10 minutes away. We never did view Arenal Volcano because of weather conditions. Most rooms had a view of the volcano.

I just got back from staying at the springs and I really enjoyed it. I had stayed there 4 years ago and I was impressed by all of the improvements. We usually plan on a day at tabacon for the hot springs but the ones at the springs now were nice enough that we decided against tabacon. The grounds and gardens have been very well maintained. The off the road location and views of the volcano can't be beat.
With the new springs I found the price to be perfect. I hope it stays where it is at.

We had a great time at the resort. The grounds and pools are wonderul. We found the food and drinks, as well as the price for the rooms during the high season to be very reasonably priced. Our room had an awesome view of the volcano and we spent a lot of time just sitting on the balcony watching the birds and volcano. It was a very relaxing place to just hang and enjoy the natural beauty around us. The breakfast buffet was above average. Our spa experience was also nice.
