Beautiful pool area and spacious room with two terraces, including a volcano view. You can charge your room from the pool bar and restaurant. Some pools are covered so you can even swim in the rain. Breakfast buffet with a huge selection of food and drink choices. There is no wi-fi in the rooms, but that is made clear in the hotel listings.
Rooms in the 200s were far away from the restaurant/pools and up a hill (not a reasonable walk). We weren't told about the shuttle service at check-in, but quickly realized people were getting rides. After that, it was easy to call the lobby and get a ride whenever we needed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room within walking distance of the pools/restaurant

we were booked into here by Mycostarica.com and we had a ball! The springs are various temperatures, the slide to the pool with a bar is a hoot, the grounds are beautiful and nice to walk around. We took day trip to Proyecto Asia rom here and it was great as well. Bathrooms stupidly large though, and they need many more hooks to hang wet suits etc (its a water park, come on- hooks please!)

The location is fabulous, with great views of the Volcano. Our room was very large with two double beds, There was a coffee machine, but be warned, they only supply one sachet of coffee for the first day, after that you have to pay 1$ for each one. The pools are amazing, with natural hot water springs at various different temperatures. In the grounds are crocodile, turtle, butterfly and frog enclosures, lovely to walk around.
However, the sinks in the bathroom are useless, sloping with no plughole, so impossible to shave or wash out clothes, a case of style over substance. The toiletries are generic, with no labelling, so no idea what was in each container. Very shoddy. Bring your own!
The property is very badly lit, which can be quite dangerous at night, bring a torch!
Towels were meagre, with only one small towel and one tiny towel each, no good for hairwashing. No full length mirror in the room, and there's plenty of room for one, surely a must! No hooks in the room to hang up dressing gowns, jackets etc, but good wardrobe and drawer space. Hot water is a bit hit and miss! No wifi in the room, we had to go to reception to look at our tablets.
Breakfast and dinner in the dining room were good.

This Resort had great people working there! The were so helpful and we never had a problem. The superior rooms we had were right by the pools, restaurant, wildlife area and reception area. The view was of the Arenal Volcano and the wildlife area. The grounds were exceptional with many pools of various degrees of hot water pools to just natural. A swim up bar, water slides, gorgeous flora and fauna as well as a lovely walk through their nature area where you could see turtles, crocodile, butterflies, ants, frogs and birds. Toucans, and varieties of birds were all over on the grounds. Lizards, etc. were there but not obtrusive. There are a variety of fish swimming around in the ponds as well. The rooms were large with coffee and fridge and ice was easy to get from the restaurant. We could hear a little of our friends next door but didn't hear any other rooms so our sound proofing was good and nothing to complain about at all!

The restaurant had a large free breakfast and had a nice menu for lunch or dinner. Everything was fresh and delicious. Their 5 color salad was one of my favorites! But so much to choose from.

Our guys went on the zipline from the hotel and they said it was the best they had been on!

From the hotel we took a taxi into La Fortuna which is a cute little colorful town for about $11 US return. We did a little shopping and stopped for a delicious dinner where they made made to order pizza and fresh sushi. All fresh and delicious!

There were a lot of things we didn't get to do while there like take a horseback ride to the base of the volcano which we intend to do next time we go there! Hopefully that will be soon!

Room Tip: The rooms near the pools are superior rooms and I would pay the extra money to stay there.

A travel company arranged the stay at this resort. The grounds were very pretty and featured both cold and warm pools.

The room itself had some issues. The dirt and dead bugs on the bathroom floor indicated to me that it hadn't been cleaned much. There was about a half inch gap under the door to the exterior, which would allow more bugs to enter. However, the room was very large.

Another issue with the bathroom was its screwy sinks. They were basically slabs of stone slanted to a drain, and very inconvenient to use due to the distance from the faucets to the edge where one stood.

The food at the restaurant was good at both breakfast and dinner.
