I am a gardener, so enjoyed every minute of my visit to the gardens. There are a number of different types of garden, all beautiful and have so much color and variety. I would recommend doing the house as well as the garden. Our guide around the house was most informative. A beautiful place and well worth a visit.

We toured the gardens and the home. Even though it was a winter month, the gardens were lovely and we were amazed with the enormity of the undertaking. Even though the home was built in the 1930's it is filled with a beautiful collection of antique furniture and items and many vintage architectural details were incorporated into the exterior. Plenty of parking, a visitor center, gift shop and café are available on site.

This is considered a must see attraction in the Mobile area so we went full in. The gardens were nice and well kept with interesting water elements and pathways. They have seasonal and permanent beds, during Easter the lillies and hydrangeas were spectacular. The waterfront was beautiful as well. The house on the other hand, costs extra and features porcelain/china figurines and mixed styles of design, completely unnecessary to enjoy the experience, unless you enjoy porcelain craft.

A return visit, and just as enjoyable. We missed the peak azaleas but still lots of color. It was Easter egg hunt day so very busy with children but they were fun to see in their spring outfits and baskets. You don’t have to be a garden fan to enjoy the peaceful walk and learn the Coca Cola connection. Nice gift shop. Restaurant and snack area. Next time- Christmas.

Yeah everyone knows how excellent the Spring Azaleas are so I lowered the rating to get management's attention. The customers' experience is poor if the grounds keepers are allowed to use powerful leaf blowers during the day. Management needs to limit leaf blowing (and lawn mowing) to the hours the customers are not present. They can limit the use of the noisy equipment to between closing and sundown or before opening. As of Spring 2017, the North Carolina Arboretum hasn't learned this either.

Thank you for your feedback. We have had a very windy Spring, with a great deal of leaves and pollen dropping, which makes it difficult for the groundskeepers to keep the paths clear. We apologize that the noise disrupted your visit and will pass along your comments to the Horticultural Staff.
