A great setting for those looking to spend a day. Can be alittle challenging if you desire to use map in English. However I'd happily bring the family knowing everyone can find something to enjoy and we'd all have so many meals choices.

Maybe it's an intention but the stores in this mall are organized in a different manner than you are used. On each floor there is a mixture of restaurants and fashion stores. More chances to buy what you really did not want and do not need. Generally, bit snobby place not easy to be oriented.

As far as malls go, there is nothing special about this one, except for its huge size. All of the international brands are represented here, and there is plenty to eat. You can spend a long day here, if spending time in a mall is your thing.

I observed that there were barely any signs of expats. And plenty of the food place do not have signage in English; only Chinese. It is difficult to do stuff in a mall that does not cater to non-Chinese. Thus it explains why there were almost no expats.

Prices are not cheap, add some may expect in China; this is not the place to be.

The Global Harbor Shopping Mall was the hugest in Shanghai, possibly even China, when it was built about a year ago. It has a luxury car dealership. It has a supermarket. It goes on almost forever across about five floors.

Today, there are lots of empty shop spaces, or more specifically, shop spaces with new tenants arriving soon.

There is a large number of bars and restaurants. This is apparently because online shopping has proven to be a problem for bricks and mortar stores in malls. They have become entertainment complexes where you would also go for drinks, dinner and a movie.

The place is grand, clean and modern. Unfortunately, it's a letdown from the shopping perspective.
