The breakfast is fantastic. My room was very good with a view over the park. The gym facilities are better than most, with a reasonably good gym, pool, sauna etc. The location is in the middle of crazy Nanjing St. Walk about a kilometre through the main strip to The Bund on a Saturday night and you can come across all the buskers, pimps, salesmen and conmen you would ever want to meet. Concierge was very helpful.

My family and I just spent a long weekend at this hotel and thought it was fantastic. The location is great - just across the street from People's Square subway station and the Nanjing Pedestrian street. People's square has multiple subway lines, incl one that goes right to the airport. This hotel is next to a mall so there are plenty of food options, including western fast food if you/your kids are looking for that. It's a long walk to the Bund, but it's still walkable. We stayed in the 2-bedroom Family Suite (Park View) and it was spacious. I would stay here again just to have that much room, for the price. We had more than enough room for the 4 of us. We ate room service at our dining room and breakfast at the buffet restaurant. The Buffet was decent, but not great. Western options were waffles, pancakes, bacon, 2 kinds of eggs. Room service was a mix of international foods. Fries are available although I don't think they were on the menu. Only negatives were that we could hear people "performing" (aka singing off key, loudly) in People's Square across the street. It wasn't loud enough to keep us from sleeping but we could definitely hear them. (We use a white noise app on our phones, so that's a suggestion if outside noise bothers you.) Also, the internet was sluggish at times, but I've found that's par for the course in China depending on what sites you're trying to visit.

Lets start with the positive- The location is great close to the main attractions and just at the start of the Nanjing road pedestrian shopping street, also a 10 minute walk to the copy market. I paid the extra for the club floor room which was a waste of Money, Room was very dated and old fashioned, club lounge was also dated with poor furnishings and the service from the staff was lackluster. They seemed only interested in looking after the pilots and air crew that were using the Club lounge and gave them one on one service constantly to the detriment of the other guest in the lounge. The communication was also difficult with their English poor especially at breakfast in the lounge and they could not understand what I was asking for etc. I would really only stay here again for the location but will be looking around as there are plenty of other choices with better facilities for the same or less cost. Over priced for what it is.
