When I booked this hotel due to 'Business' being in its name and it's close proximity to The Bund, I did expect a bit more than what I had received unfortunately, but it did disappoint. In places the wallpaper was peeling off.

There are no frills, but there was a night robe, shower gels etc. and the usual slippers.
My first room given was awful with another 'hollow' stairwell room visible from the window. This room also smelt like nicotine, so I had to move as I had requested ' non smoking' room. The second room was nicer and smelt better, but the bed linen was not wholly clean and had a few stains with a tear in it. The finishing of the bathroom left a lot to be desired, and the night's sleep was awful with the nearby but charming bell which struck which seemed like every 30 minutes! The staff seemed pleasant enough, but the night guard was sleeping on the job when we got back late in full view (a regular occurrence here).

West Nanjing road Metro station is not too far away and there are lots of shops around including Forever 21 and Chinese shops, so the hotel's location is quite good as it's just a 15 minute walk away from this and a view of The Bund.

I had intended to do some work on my Mac but unfortunately the wifi did not work well AT ALL and I am a professional who has travelled many many times!

I don't think that I could stay at this hotel again which looks dyer from outside on the main road, but my friend had a pleasant experience here with a 'lovely room' (better grade) on another visit so you never know.

Room Tip: Wifi is not very strong. Upgrade to a better quality of room!

Basically just a few mins walk to the Bund area, right in the midst of the older part of Shanghai. To me the bund areas is the place to go in Shanghai. Lots of restaurants nearby for one to discover and i wasn't disappointed. And if you like architecture, i thought the buildings all around were fantastic examples of the western style architecture of that era - probably exemplary of the wealth and power that occupy Shanghai then. The hotel was decent. There was a very strong cigarette smell in the room assigned to me. Well it seemed popular with locals and smoking is very common with locals. Other than that the room was decent. And just be prepared that it might be hard for taxi drivers not familiar with the area to find the hotel as it is sited away from the main road. So make sure you come prepared with a print out of the location if you need to be on the safe side.

Room Tip: Remind them that you asked for a non smoking room. Rooms on the top floor have balconies but it is a 5 storey tall hotel.

The area where the hotel resode is one ox tge best places in Shanghai! But the hotel has 5 floors only and is surrounded by high buildings, so even if you pay for extra view from the window, the only thing you will see is the walls and windows of the neighbor buildings that are 70 cm to 10 meters away.
Bad food and old.
The personnels are very very very noisy starting from 4 in the morning.
And after 12 at night start allmost all visitors to be noisy. So ni time to relax.

The hotel entrance is hidden from view and unusual to find but I found the hotel clean and pleasant. It was quite close to the Bund and restaurants. Room was more spacious than others in Shanghai in which I have stayed. Had wifi in room.

I don't bad smell and smoke in the hotel. But the room is cleaned and comfort. It is a 5 min to The Bund and 15 min to East Nanjing Road Metro Station and shopping street. I can't connect the internet via Wi-Fi, so bad.
