“Nice big villa with lots of potential”

This is a difficult review to make as the premises itself is excellent, 4 large bedrooms, large open living area, a fully equipped kitchen and a large private pool. However the maintenance required is letting it down. Most are minor issues but added up they do have an impact on your stay. The stove top burners need a good clean out, of the four only one worked to it's fullest the other either didn't work or were not effective due to being partially blocked. No mozzie screens on any of the windows so you had to be vigilant in shutting them before dusk. Some of the bedside drawers were stuck and couldn't be opened, and the dishwasher drawer fell off it's runners when trying to stack it - all minor things but they do have an impact and should be easily fixed if management takes the time and care about them.

Our biggest issue was NO HOT WATER for the entire 7 day stay. We fully understand these things happen and we do not expect maintenance men to come rushing out on a weekend. But when we discovered we had no hot water we checked the hot water system to find it had been turned off at the power and also the gas (one of our group is a licenced plumber in Australia) - so it was obvious to us that management knew about the issue. All the promises were made and what we felt like excuses of someone having to look at it and then the owner needs to approve a new hot water system. We honestly felt like these were rehearsed excuses to a problem that was already known. This had a significant impact on our stay.

It's a pity because the villa and location has massive potential. It's in a great location not far from the main road and has restaurants nearby. Only a 1 km walk to the Arts Village which has a supermarket and more restaurants. Would we book again - sorry but no. It is listed as having a washing machine which was one of the reasons why we chose it - it does but it is locked away and the on site manager is the only one that can use it. She is happy to do your washing for you - but we would have liked to be able to do our own washing as we needed to.

The premises is listed for sale and this may be the reason for it lacking in a bit of TLC. Book it by all means - it does the job but if there is no hot water then hopefully this review will assist getting it fixed or it should be reported to Flipkey re poor management.

“Fantastic - very family friendly”

Our extended family have just come home from a wonderful time spent at Nanette beautiful accommodation. Everything had been thought of and we didn't want for anything. Nanette's two ladies looked after us SO well. One (Indian) cooked us a great curry and the other (Fijian) made us a beautiful banana and coconut dessert. The pool in the backyard was very well used, even on days when we had tropical rain. It was still hot. This is by far the most economical way to go with a large family group. Great cooking facilities are available so don't have to eat out all the time. Very welcome to visit Fiji Palms or The Pearl. Nice to be near the Arts Village. The massage was great very reasonable. The same people did our granddaughter's hair braiding.

“Wonderful house, location, housekeeper”

Stayed with my husband and two teenage children, my sister, brother-i-law and 3 young children. The housekeepe, Teresia was a godsend. She even babysat the younger ones for us so we could go buggy riding. The location is fantastic - close to all the attractions, 5 minutes walk from the beach, the Pearl Resort where we used their facilities. 10 minutes walk from the shopping precinct so we could get supplies for dinner or eat out.

“A beautiful villa that was incredible value for money. Highly recommended!”

We had a really fantastic stay in Nan's villa. It has four really beautiful en-suited bedrooms, a large and spacious living area, with a well equipped kitchen. Also, for your money you get the services of some lovely Fijiian staff. We loved every part of the villa, especially the pool. It was also very well located with shops, restaurants and the beach within walking distance. All in all we had a fantastic holiday in this fantastic villa!
