It was time to bring a great week on the Alabama Gulf Coast to an end so we decided to end it with a great meal. We had heard great things about Fisher’s and were anxious to give it a try.
We arrived at our reserved time and were promptly shown to our table. As usual we started with our favorite cocktails as we studied the great menu.
We began with sharing appetizers of raw oysters, fried oysters and pork cheek. All three were very good but the raw oysters were outstanding. Two of us have eaten our share of raw oysters over the years and have had some very good ones. We both agree these were the best we have had as far as we can remember. I understand they were farm raised in local waters.
For our entre we selected the scallops, lamb and the fish of the day. We added a side of Brussel sprouts. The lamb and scallops were excellent. The fish was very good but slightly over cooked.
We complimented our meal with a bottle of Bourgogne Remoissenet. As it was Happy Hour bottled wine was half price which made it even better.
We selected Crème Brulee and Sorghum ice cream for desert which were a perfect ending to a great meal.
The service at Fisher’s was outstanding and the food was awesome. It is a fine dining restaurant with a casual feel and we all totally enjoyed it.
