The best time to visit Chuck's is on a Saturday because there are 2 for 1 pulled pork sandwiches for $3.59. If you order the ribs and you are not from the area, you may want to ask them to hold the mustard sauce. In Texas, we serve our ribs with spicy/sweet red sauces. they can keep the mustard sauce west of the Mississippi. It wouldn't go over here in Texas. You will not leave disappointed or hungary.

Chuck's is an old school BBQ joint conveniently located just off the interstate. We stopped in while traveling and had a great dinner. There is plenty to choose from on the menu...while many combos and specials. Everything our table had was good...I enjoyed the signature chipped BBQ and delicious Brunswick stew. Chuck's is a place to hit!

Asked a local business where to eat lunch, was sent towards Chuck's BBQ and told to follow the smoke smell. They were right. Who could go wrong with their weekday lunch special - chipped sandwich (pork simmered in their mild sauce), bag of chips and a medium drink for $5.89. My partner had the ribs, and enjoyed them. They were tender, but stayed on the bone for perfect eating. Was a little surprised at their sauce which is vinegar based, it was good, just not what I expected for Alabama. Their menu has a lot of choices, but check out their specials first, which can save you some money. It is an order and pick up at the counter with self serve drinks place. But the staff were totally helpful, and wanted to please. We went back to leave a tip - and there is nothing set up for tips!!!! They just wanted to know how everything was. Nothing fancy, just good food.

Chucks is pretty good price wise for the quality and quantity of food. I always get the pork sandwich. Usually with Coke slaw or Brunswick stew. It's always good and prepared to order. And pretty quick.
And like many of this areas BBQ places - the best ones have stacks of wood in the corner of the lot cause they cook it themselves daily.
They are not open Sunday's
