We actually stopped there twice in one weekend.
Breakfast on Saturday and supper on Sunday.
Its hard to beat Uncle Herschel's breakfast. Especially if you add that third egg. It was great. They handled our party of 8 with no problem. Fast, friendly, efficient.
Suppper Sunday night was also good. The shrimp were golden brown, cabbage was seasoned just right. Fries were fresh but just typical fries. Maybe they should season them a bit. And the new Kale/brussel sprout salad is ok but I may not order again. Not a big fan of cranberries.
But all in all..the food and service are good. Its a good place to stop for a break in your travels.
