We love this intimate small hotel. The decor of the hotel and the room is very unique and we love the bathroom. The staff who assisted us with our check in and parking of the car was very friendly. The hotel is located close by to Melaka historical sites. Within walking distance to the Melaka river, at night the scene by the river is marvellous. Overall we had a great stay and we hope we will be back

The Courtyard is in a great location in a really vibrant part of town. It is in easy walking distance of all the main sights. Everything is only a few minutes away. The hotel is charmingly decorated and very individual. The room we stayed in was very spacious and quiet. The thing we most liked though we're the staff. They could not do more to be helpful and we're really kind. The same with the breakfast staff who cooked everything just the way we liked. We felt very spoiled. For the price this hotel is a real find and I highly recommend it for people who enjoy an authentic place to stay.

We had a very good and comfortable stay at this little beautiful hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly throughout our stay, they guided us recommendations with what to do and where to eat. Our room is tastefully furnished with very comfortable bedding. Hotel is located right in the heart of the city.

What you get here is the immense satisfaction of being able to walk into the centre of the Jonker night market from the front entrance of the hotel in less than a minute (it's literally 50m from the hotel). So if it's during the weekend, you could enjoy the night market late into the night and not worry about having to walk too far to your car or place of accommodation.

What this also means is that you'll be staying right inside a heritage building in the heritage area of Malacca. This comes with the drawback of having to compromise with the amount of space in the room (they're not big and can be a squeeze), lack of nearby parking space (you'll have to walk a short distance from the back of the hotel to an open air carpark), and missing other perks that bigger hotels may have (e.g. pool, gym, cable TV etc.).

The prime reason you'll want to stay here is for Jonker Street, and if you like the experience of staying in a Peranakan house, the decor and feel of this hotel is top-notch.

What I really want to compliment the hotel on is their exceptional service. We accidentally left a newly purchased kid's sweater in the hotel, and left Malacca in a hurry. Upon calling them up, the staff were able to locate the sweater and even send it back to us! Full marks on customer service!!!

Will definitely stay here again the next time round!

Lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of old Malacca town, located just a street away from Jonker Street. The hotel itself is in a converted shophouse and retains a lot of the old traditional architecture with tasteful modern design details. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Parking is complimentary, but the car park is located about a couple of hundred metres away from the hotel.

Rooms are on the small side, and the Family Deluxe room we stayed in did not have any windows. It could also do with a bit of touching up as it was showing its age.

Overall, a recommended place to stay in Malacca.
