After three weeks touring India and staying in fairly basic and often dingy hotels, moving to the Presa di Goa was more of a treat than any 5-star hotel could have been. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful, the room was well appointed, spotless and comfortable, room service was elegant and prompt, and the resort as a whole turned out to be a perfect place to relax. I cannot recommend the Presa di Goa too highly. I also expressed my delight with the place in comparison with some of the places closer to the beach here, where there are also photos and inks to my Picasa album. http://iamallwrite.wordpress.com/2011/12/29/watch-listen-learn-india-12-goa/

Having made several trips to Goa, and staying at a number of different places, I've added Presa di Goa to my list of favourites.

Why I'll go back:

* Delicious food (with prompt service)
* Tastefully decorated, well-apportioned rooms (with large balcony)
* Hospital, professional staff (and friendly, helpful owner)
* Great pool and outdoor dining area

The bathrooms were clean, but basic.

We were travelling with our baby, and were delighted that the staff offered us a crib and an airport pick-up.

We stayed for about a week, and all-in-all it was a great place to come back to after the hustle-bustle of the beach areas. It is a little off the beaten path, but that's what we look for when we go to Goa. We've stayed at cheaper places, but this one was definitely worth every rupee.

Room Tip: We stayed in Champa with baby, and my in-laws stayed in Hibiscus--both great rooms. Hibiscus is pro...

Nice to read that You have PRESA di GOA still in such good memories after 8 months. Thank You for Your fair review. It always pleases us when our Restaurant and its cuisine are mentioned, as we keep on being shown here as a B & B only and not as A Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, what we really are. Therefore special thanks to You.

I stayed here with my family on the 8th of December - I moved here after a disappointing stay at Spazio Leisure Resort (that's another review in itself!).

Presa di Goa was a world apart from our previous accomodation. As soon as I walked into their hidden entrance, I realised that I made the right decision. The staff, the ambience, the feel, just felt right.

About a 7 minute drive from Calangute Beach, it's tucked away in the interiors of Goa. It's a perfect place for you to lounge by the beautiful pool, swim a few laps in it, take an outside shower or get a massage in their beautifully built spa area.

We stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms which was very cottage like. Lovely furniture and cosy surroundings. You can ask for a kettle, tea and coffee facilities from the reception.

The staff are excellent and we got to know the charming Edward over dinner, which was a lovely, memorable experience.

Only downside is that there isn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom - a small window instead which lets in the mosquitos. But the staff are very thoughtful and set up electronic mosquito coils for you in your room. You will need a roll-on by the pool side or dining area though.

I've decided to try a few different places the next time I go to Goa instead of staying at one place alone, because only then could you stumble upon gems like Presa Di Goa.

A big hello to our 1911 Australian guesta and thank You, Cindre9'. You are a great writer. Your comment about Mosquitos is taken seriously. A framed Mosquito net in the bathroom window is the immediate solution.

STAYED HERE FOR A WEEK IN DECEMBER. The room was very nice the pool was excellent food brilliant, service very good and very convenient for Mapusa, Baga and Apora Calangute and not very far from Candolim and also convenient for the lovely beaches of Mandrem Morgem and Aswam. Hope to stay there again next time we go to Goa. Much higher standards than the average hotel in North Goa

Room Tip: we had a ground floor room being older we found that more convenient
