This place is just perfect for toddlers and young children. There are plenty of animals to see. The gift shop is small but well equipped.
The restrooms are spaced just right. And the ice cream Jolly rancher is great

Alabama Zoo was a nice family experience. The Lemurs were a family favorite. The kangafood were cool too. The big cats are up close and it was fascinating.

Whenever in Gulf Shores this zoo is our go to place the kids always wants to go to. The kids love the animal encounters. The lemurs and kangaroos are the best and not that much extra to make for a memorable vacation.

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Gulf Shores is the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. You have the opportunity to feed some of the animals and have a hands on experience with several others. The kangaroos and the sloths were our favorites. The staff is super friendly and show their knowledge of the animals freely.

The only complaint is the parking situation...THERE IS NO PARKING! We circled the lot 4 or 5 times before we finally got a spot. I did see a sign stating that they are moving down the road around 4 miles so maybe this will help.

All in all it was a tremendous experience!
