This museum, free to visit, has something for kids of all ages. It's not just informative, it's a destination adventure, inside and outside. You'll be so surprised at how much fun a local history museum can be - Fairhope has a lot of odd yet fascinating things about it that make the town itself a destination for fun. The Tea at Two on Tuesdays talks are always a bonus, featuring a local speaker, (these are also free), serving award-winning, locally grown tea, grown and produced by the museum director and his volunteers from the Friends of the Fairhope Museum of History. This is one of the coolest places to see in Fairhope.

Great way to spend an hour or two for history on the town and area. Helpful docents, good displays, nice film. And no fee!

Athletes Fairhope museum you will find some interesting artifacts from Fairhope’s early days. It has an interesting history which a knowledgeable docent explained to us, including information about the single tax system. The museum is free so the price is right. It’s well worth a visit if you are visiting Fairhope.

There is lots to see in this little museum that helps you understand the town. It takes a person from the early inhabitants to modern day people on the 2 floors. The old fire engine, which still runs, is fun to see as is the new video upstairs.

I would recommend anyone who visits Fairhope to spend an hour here so they can appreciate the dream of the forefathers.
