I was travelling from Gangtok to Mirik and stopped here for a breather and was amazed to see such a lovely sight of confluence of two rivers, having distinct colours. There were lot of young boys and girls, which aptly fit the name of "Lovers' View Point! The name be changed to make it visible.

Near to Darjeeling.
But far away from the crowds of Darjeeling. Calm & quiet with full of greenery among the oaks & pines.
Chirping of Varieties of birds take one to a different ambiance.
I had the opportunity to be there and I put up at Gurung Guest House. Stayed for four nights. It’s a nice place to stay. Very reasonable price. Food is excellent. Staffs are friendly. Hope to be there again.

Tinchuley is located above the old cantonment area of Takdah, in Darjeeling district at an altitude of about 5,800 ft. The word Tinchuley is a combination of two words ‘Teen Chullahs’ meaning Three Ovens because of the three prominent hill tops that frame the place and looks like ovens or chullahs.

Tinchuley is a beautiful small hilly village with lots of lush green Tea Gardens, Valley views are awesome. You can also visit the Orchid Centre at Takdah..

Tinchuley is a very calm village which is almost equidistant from Darjeeling and Kalimpong. I stayed here with my friends for 3 nights. It's a very peaceful place & stunning natural beauty. The cottage is surrounded by thick forest on two sides. Two rivers flow through this village- the Teesta and the Ranjit. One can clearly make out the difference in the waters.
