This cafe is a really great place to sip tea, stare at still mountains, and feel the cool breeze of Darjeeling. I kept having ginger tea here because it felt so warm and cozy in the wintry weather of December.

When you enter the cafe, you can choose to sit under the shade or below the sky. Sitting outside, you can see the Lloyd Botanical Garden, the Japanese Monastery, lush green tea gardens laid out on the hills, and the town. Even if you close your eyes, you won't miss the chirping birds flying around.

One of the most charming things about the cafe is the music that Rumba puts on his stereo. All the funky rock songs from the past make you move your head with the rhythm. It makes the experience of having the tea all the more delightful.

I went to this cafe every day (except one) after I found it. Don't miss this place out if you are stopping by at Darjeeling!

The café is small and beautiful. It has an indoor sitting section and an outdoor one. The aunty is very genial like all the people in the hills. The Darjeeling tea is as usual, just fantastic.

We had a chance to trek with Mr Rumba who is also our trekking guide and owner of this cozy cafe. Our host is very kind to invite us to his cafe and we were served with the best tasting momo while sipping our afternoon tea with a scenic views of Darjeeling hill at his humble cafe.A place not to be missed if you happen to pass by Jawahar Road West.

Week back but we were on strike as we were asking for a separate state of Gorkhaland.
There was complete shutdown / closure of the Darjeeling hills, nothing moved for one hundred and four days. May be it has become a guinness book of world record. So, how
on earth you were here...
you should put even that one star on your chest and go back to your sleep for you seem to dislike the hill people. Still, I could have been late in my response to your review for we
were feeling the shutdown is not over yet...by the way, we are nature caring, we are very
hygienic .

We had soup chow, momo and egg omelette. The omelette was excellent. Making the kitchen tiled and organised might help. Porch is good. Parking is limited.

Sir,
thank you for your excellent review and free advice.
I also have a free advice that inorder to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the hills the tourists should walk around. . This way there will be less traffic problem, less noise pollution and less load for our mother earth . Yes, there are exceptions like the
senior citizens / and people crammed with money can opt for the cars. ..
