Magpie Villa is one of the best places that I have stayed in in India. Amita is so welcoming, full of information and goes out of her way to make one feel comfortable and at home. Her staff are professional and are a pleasure to meet too. There are very comfortable beds with all mod cons in the bedrooms and Amita cooks a delicious simple Indian breakfast alongside the normal buffet table. Apart from recommending things to do Amita can book trains and buses, provide well tried and tested drivers, TukTuks and plenty more - you just have to ask. The Old City is very close by and there are many convenient eating places. Walking home at night is safe - it is just 1 minutes from the main MI road. I have returned again and again to Magpie Villa and highly recommend that you do too because you won't find better!

I stayed at Magpie Villa in March 2014, it is well maintained , very clean and located just off MI Road in Central Jaipur. It is 5 min walk from the Up-Market Textile shops, Art Emporium, Restaurants and the famed Jewellery Shops of Jaipur . All places of Historical interest are within 5km radius of Magpie Villa. The Villa is well managed and the Owner Ms Amita Narain goes out of her to see to your comforts. She is warm , cooperative and a fund house of knowledge on the history , art and culture of Rajasthan and Jaipur in particular. The food is good and having it in the little portico outside listening to the twitter of birds is a good experience. Most important it is well priced and Value for Money.
