Its a heritage property well maintained but the location is bad. You have to travel through streets with a lot of traffic. Haveli is very well maintained. Food is OK, service good and very quick. Staff is very courteous and helping. People interested in heritage places can try.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are better.

We stayed there beginning of March 2012 for three nights.

This place is an old haveli turned into a hotel keeping every inch of old structure yet furnishing the rooms from inside including the bathrooms. The stay was wonderful, great food, ambience wonderful. The Staff was very friendly and courteous. The Hotel Restaurant was also very good. The food is reasonable.

We stayed at the Haveli for 3 nights. its on the other side of the "pink City" . The Haveli is a 200 year old place and really feels like youve come home to "Grandma's". Very well maintained and furnished. The bathrooms were as interesting as the bedrooms. The rooms themselves have no spectacular view if at all any, but the little sit out overlooking the well area is very pleasant gives you a view of the fort above, greenery and lil birds.
Staff were extremely helpfull and kind and the food was also good and reasonably priced. Children had fun with the games offered and the video games. The very small "well" had ice cold water though it was summer time and really cooled us down for two days.
Travel desk was very helpfull but i would not suggest to use them for local shopping as you will be charged 3 or 4 times more. Best to go by yourself after studying a map /guide. The Jaipur visitors guide (RBS) is freely available.

The Haveli is well maintained and in excellent shape. We had stayed here for 7 nights, though we were initially skeptical to stay for 7 long nights at one place, the moment we stepped in we were assured that we weren't moving out. The room and bath were very clean - spotless. Very good interiors, quite friendly staff. There are few indoor games to keep one occupied including children. However, there is no swimming pool, few people use the Bawadi as a pool.

The Haveli is definitely not at a prime location, but close to most of the markets/bazaars and in the city. This makes it easy to commute to markets and tourist places of interest. The car rentals are quite reasonable for royal members; and had good drivers (worth a mention here), and you have a choice to go for local transport for shorter distances.

Cons : Quality of food is however average. There are hardly any other restaurants in the area. The Haveli had a wifi that never worked for me. TV is very small (box tv).

In short, this is an excellent place to stay within the city. We had planned short excursions to Ranthambore, Bharatpur, Agra-Taj Mahal and ChokiDhani within our 7 night stay; and to visit few places of our interest within Jaipur.

Room Tip: The upper floor rooms are probably more spacious and airy.

We came to Ratan Haveli by way of a promotional holiday from Royal Resorts. We were at first dismayed by its limitations, no pool, a very small and somewhat dark restaurant and a location well away from restaurants, shops etc. However, the assistance of the tour desk and an excellent driver and guides meant our week expanded to include, at very good value, not only Jaipurs heritage attractions but also a trip to Jodphur and one to Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. On comparison with our other hotel rooms, Ratan Haveli rooms are spacious, light and airy, clean, well serviced. The laundry service is excellent. The food is quite good too. Dont stay a week in Jaipur though, unless you are prepared to do the side trips, three days would be enough.

Room Tip: upper floors better than ground floor.
