Had a good time in this apartment. Nicely furnished but entryway a bit grim. Mr Singh the owner was extremely helpful x helped us with any problems we had. Would recommend for anyone who would like an authentic experience of living like a resident.
I recently stayed at this apartment because i was looking for an uncomplicated, private home away from home and this place was a real find. Hotels do not offer what these apartments offer and i was very pleased with what i had and the price was low for what i got.
It is very spacious, with two bedrooms, two showers, kitchen, living room and a great balcony. It had everything needed for a great, home-like stay. The building is a fantastic, traditional Indian one with great residents who was quiet.
The decor makes this a pleasing apartment and there are enough seats for guests with a coffee table and a dining table. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge and cooker which all work. There are plenty of pots, pans and cups, tea pot, etc for a family. It is clean and roomy for cooking in.
The showers are working great and are variable in heat control while the sinks provide both very hot and cold water (Most hotels are only warm water) and the shower room has good lighting and is clean.
The Bedrooms are very large and the beds are merged singles which, combined make enough space for 3 people per room. The whole apartment has a great ambience with a large variation in lighting so you can have low level or fully lit rooms. There is also a large LCD flat screen TV with Tata Sky subscription as part of the rental at no extra cost.
There is large, modern air conditioning units in each bedroom with remote controls as well as quite, roof fans and the rooms contain a heater for colder periods of the season.
The location is perfect because it is based within a local colony where other homes are owned by Doctors and retired armed forces personnel so it is a nice area with some security. As you walk out from the colony gate entrance, you are on Ajmer Road, Civil Lines and the lines crossing leads to several roads giving access to some of Jaipur's local hot spots such as the INOX centre and central park as well as an array of hidden pleasures that Jaipur has to offer. I would go for a walk early morning when it is quite cool in Rajasthan and found very little of the chaos associated with central Jaipur.
The owner made sure there was plenty of fruit, mixed teas, biscuits and snacks for my arrival. There is a caretaker on hand via a phone call and he was always helpful.while the owner is well educated and great conversational personality (Very Indian) with a mild character.
I have friends who live in Jaipur and i was able to have them come and go with ease (Unlike Hotels) and there is no questions regarding couples , too. So, unmarried couples would find this suited to them.
Finally, you have some marriages held on Ajmer Road which can be spectacular to see. You can hear these from the apartment but they are not intrusive late at night as they tend not to go on late.
All in all, a great stay and i will be staying again as i visit Jaipur a lot.
