Had recently visited the place for a Family Lunch. The Food is good. The concept of the place is very unique and different. Here we have people who are speech and sound impaired working as their staff. The Menu is very limited but good. next to each item in the Menu they have Mime Signs printed which will help people give their orders. Its a very unique experience and a must visit to this place at least once.

The management and the other staff are also very helpful incase if we find any difficulty in explaining or have any questions about the menu.

We visited the place on a Sunday, so it was really noisy and the music was a little loud. Also if you need to visit the place you need to book it at least 2 - 3 days prior. On-spot reservations over the weekends are a little difficult.

But, overall, I enjoyed the place, good food, great people and an awesome experience.

Marvellous idea of utilising sign language in a restaurant. Wait staff is speech and sound impaired . You have to use sign language for ordering food or for any communication . Menu card has all signs printed and very easy to demonstrate!! Excellent food and very good smiling staff . Must visit this place for lovely experience. Will visit again and this time will actually invite a couple friend who is speech and sound impaired .

Went for a late dinner and had a selection of curries both veg and non-veg and a selection of breads. All were hot and delicious. This is a very clean modern restaurant with a full bar as you might find in any major city anywhere in the world.

The unique aspect is the staff. They are all hearing-impaired individuals so you are given a menu that has tips on communicating using different sign-language words. Though hearing-impaired, the staff certainly is not service-impaired!! The service was excellent by any standard, attentive, fast and you could see that everyone was really enjoying their work.

I would not have known about this except for a colleague who is living in Mumbai and I am so glad to have learned about it from him.

If you are ever in Mumbai, you must visit this restaurant. A MUST!! The food is great, but the dining experience you will have inside the restaurant is inspiring as it unfolds. The concept of the restaurant has to do with the wait-staff: they are all hearing and speech impaired, except for the management staff. In the beginning, the management staff assists the wait-staff with the guests by (1) introducing the person who will wait on the table (at the same time the waiter is signing and introducing himself), and (2) by explaining a few simple ordering rules. All ordering is done either by signing or pointing at the menu. We were also shown signs for simple mannerisms like “excuse me” to get someone’s attention, “more or less please” if you wanted to order additional, and “thank you”.

The menu itself is in the form of matrix, which also has character as the design of the menu includes pictures of the food and the corresponding sign which makes it simple for guests to order. Across the top of the menu, accompanied by the appropriate sign pictures, are the soups, salads, vegetarian dishes and non-vegetarian dishes. Along the side of the menu is a numbering system. The order is placed using the gestures shown on the menu, or as was explained, you could just point to the dish you wanted.
If this wasn’t enough of an experience, the food topped it off. The food was excellent. I had the Tariwala Chicken, the Pan-tossed Calamari, and Nan bread. Yes, they do serve alcohol.

The waitstaff worked as a team to serve us, as each member went by, they checked in to make sure we did not need anything. I was watching the wait-staff, as they moved around the restaurant waiting on guests, communicating with each other, and with other guests made me think of one thing: empowerment. They have been empowered in their jobs by having the guests communicate with them through sign language. You won’t forget this experience.
