In my view this is best zoo compared to the other ones I visited. Because don't need to walk for long and shady trees along. Very interesting for kids.

Hi friends...!
If you are reading this review it means that you are planning a trip to Mysore and intend to visit the zoo. Let me tell you if you are in any dilemma whether or not to visit this place then I would only say “ DO VISIT THIS ZOO....” I have been to zoo at other places and I can say that this is a very well maintained Zoo. You will love watching all kinds of animals at a safe distance and still be amazed how the zoo mimicks a forest with all its wilderness for them. Be it the Giraffe, elephant, Bear....and what not. It will take a minimum of 2 hrs. So I would recommend you visit after snacks, meals and yes there is also a toy car sort of vehicle for those who do not want to go on foot.

I had heard a lot about this Zoo and the zoo definitely lived up to the expectation. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tallest Animal on earth- Giraffe which u can overlook from entrance though you will have a closer encounter while you are about to exit.
I saw the tallest flying bird the Sarus Crane which is taller than most Indians.

1 White Tiger and 2 Normal Tiger were to be seen. There was a huge Lion sleeping peacefully as well which was woken by my Sons shouts of Bow Bow .

Overall a very well maintained and well fed Zoo. Crocodile enclosure seemed too small though.

This is a place where you can actually find the listed animals easily. They have a white Bengal tiger too.

One of the main attractions in Mysuru , this zoo doesnt disappoint anyone. This place is enormous , the walk path itself is around 3.5km. Though going to zoo is always a sad affair where humans have caged and removed the animals from their natural habitat , but here i felt happy at seeing them. The zoo mgmt is taking good care of the animals and have even given names to each animal showing the uniqueness and care which mysore zoo authorities have put in. The Lion , Tiger , elephant , leopard have good space to roam around and looked healthy and active. Overall even the kids enjoyed the place as it was their first instance of experiencing live animals which they have learnt in their books.
