The palace we had seen last year once again. The palace is a good reminder of kings and their luxurious lives. While they ensure that footwear also shall b kept outside and no doubt it is very neat and clean. The authorities must spend more time and money to maintain the place. Over years the palace and Gardens must be maintained to bring its original charm.

Isse nahi dekha to kuch nahi kedkha..if you have not visited this place, you did not visit Mysuru.. Iconic place in Mysuru..Property is very well maintained..And one can live that royal life again..Palace was built with such perfection, that even architect or engineer will also be not able to find any points. It is truly masterpiece of Engineering and Architecture..
People should definitely visit this place.
Be careful in peak season there will be heavy traffic..

It is worth seeing the lighting-up of the outside of the beautiful palace with 96,000 (approx) lights that happens every Sunday from 7 to 7:30 pm. We saw the equally spectacular interior the next morning, but were very thankful to have known about the special Sunday exterior illumination. This is a large, beautiful palace that has been rebuilt a couple of times after fires. If you only have time to see one thing in Mysore, see this!

Mysore Palace also known as Amba Vilas Palace located at the heart of Mysore city is the most prominent tourist destination of Mysore that attracts millions of visitors round the year. Displaying Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, this sprawling building is a replacement of the old wooden building destroyed by fire in late 19th century.
Lord Henry Irwin, a British architect was entrusted to construct a new palace. In 1912 the construction of the palace was completed at a cost of Rs. 4147913. The palace facing Chamundi Hills is a manifestation of the devotion of the Maharajas of Mysore towards Goddess Chamundi. The emblem and coat of arms of the Mysore Kingdom adorns the entrance gate and arch. A large, beautiful and well-maintained garden surrounding the palace makes the site even more spectacular. There are 12 Hindu temples in the palace built in various times from 14th century till 1953. These include Someshvara Temple and Lakshmiramana among others.
Battery-operated vehicles have been introduced by the management to facilitate tourists to have a tour of the palace that is marked as one of the largest Indian palaces and counted among the most famous tourist destinations of India after Taj Mahal.

The Palace in Mysuru is something that is mesmerising to all those visiting the place and makes one realise that we are the descendants of some of the greatest Indian architects, engineers, artists and warriors. A great place to visit.
