If you want to escape the rush of khan market then this is the place. Laid back. Old school. Slightly dated interiors. Great staff. Outdoor seating section is great in winters.

Every time I go the food gets better and better compelling me to plan again for another visit. The service is excellent especially Manas who takes care of you very well and is extremely knowledgeable of the dishes available which helps you in deciding what to order. The menu is very extensive and probably you would need numerous visits to taste the entire menu. No matter what you eat each dish has a wholesome taste and the ingredients are perfectly blended, thanks to the chef. It's a great place for dining.

Located in The Vivanta by Taj Ambassdor, I had high expectations from this restaurant but it failed in meeting a lot of them.
Being a pure vegetarian, I ordered for a Kebab Platter (Rs 950 + taxes) and Dal Makhani (Rs 850 + taxes).
The Paneer Tikka in the Kebab platter was excellent however the Seekh Kebab and Palak Kebab lacked taste. Dal Makhani was okay and the breads were awful as if it has been got from some Buffet meal or a Party meal.
The service is super slow with lazy staff.
All in all, 2.5/5. Not much recommended

To continue with the fervour of Diwali celebrations, when both my dear son and his mother were visiting New Delhi from their outstation postings, we decided to visit YBR once again. This was our third visit to the eatery probably in as many years. The 24x7 restaurant at Taj Vivanta (erstwhile Ambassador Hotel at Sujan Singh Park) has been a late nighters’ favourite for quite some time. YBR with its bright & happy interiors replete with yellow & green wooden furniture, old posters on the walls and toy cars perched on the shelves promises a friendly and casual setting for the diners. The seats available in the air-conditioned section are not too many; they also have an al fresco dining facility. Considering the muggy weather of October in Delhi during the lunch hour, we chose cooler climes of the restaurant inside.

To start with we had asked for two portions of Canja de Galina (Portuguese rice broth with plentiful of chicken) to be shared by three of us. The soup flavoured with freshly chopped coriander truly worked as an appetizer. In the main course, we chose a portion each of YBR chicken, chicken country captain, and Risotto de Pollo con asparagi. YBR chicken prepared with red wine marinated spicy grilled chicken breasts and served with lots of sautéed vegetables and a boiled potato has been the signature dish of the restaurant. It really tasted good and came in a more than enough quantity to satiate a single person. The chicken country captain, touted as an Anglo-Indian preparation with mildly spicy chunks of chicken and a little rice served with fresh salad was interesting indeed. The humongous quantity of risotto prepared with plentiful of chicken and asparagus was too filling.

The wait staffs were quite friendly; they engaged in polite conversations with us for our repeat visit, seeking our feedback on the food quality etc. But the icing on the cake was a generous plate of caramel pudding, which came as a complimentary dessert.

Yellow Brick Road has been somewhat iconic with the decades-old Ambassador Hotel...we would keep going back to tread the road for its ‘no nonsense’ food of superb quality!
