On special days we go out for family dinner and are always on the look out for new good vegetarian options.
I had visited Masala Trail on a previous occasion with my cousin and the experience was good, so this time I decided to go with whole family.
Although it was a weekday buy Since it was a large group, I decided to play safe and got the tables reserved.
We were10-15 mins late but did not have to wait, probably because it was not a weekend.
Overall set up of the place was good and well maintained with good music.
As starters we ordered-
Tower chaat
Paneer Kathi roll
Ashok vihar k matar kulcha
Ginni dosa
Chaat papdi
Shikanji

All of them were good prepations but Shikanji was unnecessarily high priced. They should consider bringing it below 50.

In main course, we ordered different north Indian cuisines -
Paneer lababdar
Dal tadka
Paneer Makhni

All of these were really good.

I would not say that the preparation was unique, I have experienced similar before at lower prices, they are set according to location. The plus point is u get to experience different unique cuisines at 1 location.

Thank Nikhil J

I believe the one thing 'The Masala Trail' thrives on is their unique food menu full of variety. No foreign cuisine - but a menu brimming with options from around the Indian State. Maharashtrian, Gujarati, North Indian, South Indian, Bihari, Lucknowi and what not! In fact the menu is so elaborate, you would want to come here multiple times to savour everything. Taste wise, I would rate it 3.75/5 as from all we ordered, some items were exceptional like Tower Chat, Ginni Dosa, Bisibele Bath and Aam Panna while some like Galouti Kabab and Litti Chokha were not so well made and not so tasty either! Items like Galouti Kabab would need an expert hand to make them, so if you can't make it good enough, better not keep it in the menu. Overall the food is quite palatable! The service is so quick, you would not have settle properly and your food is already on your table. And they serve you with politeness and a smile on their face :) !
The prices are quite affordable and the decor is nothing to complain about given the space they have.
If I have to sum it up, you will not regret visiting this restaurant. Instead, it might be full of revelations for some as you get to try out things you may never ever have tasted before in Delhi.

The Masala Trail is a real gem of a place to have regional food of india. They have many famous dishes in their menu from different regions of india.

Great value of  money and food is very tasty with authenticity. Every dish has different flavour's in it. Regional spices are used to make some of the great dishes like Rajasthani Dal Batti Churma, Dosa, Bihari Litti Chokha and Alloo Tikki.

If you love original Indian street food, you will really like this place. The Masala Trail  satisfies ones urges for Street food as they are serving papri chat, Dahi Bhalla, Bhelpuri, Cholle Bhature, Raj Kachori and Pav bhajji.
