This hotel had almost everything perfect. Location was fantastic with historic Sigiriya rock in the background. Rooms were modern with complete facilities. rooms had adequate space and bathrooms were big.
The thing I liked most about them was the food. Food were delightful and had lot of variety. Surely, this is one of the best places in Sri Lanka when it comes to food.

Room tip: best views, awesome food, nice, spacious rooms

First the service...it was above par!! Everything on site gym, badminton, swimming, spa etc. The food was wonderful an excellent variety of local and European. My husband and I shared a suite (private pool and whirlpool)while our boys shared a quad....our accommodations were well above 5*. Cleanliness, comfort and again service. The front desk arranged our sightseeing for convenience at a fair price. All you'll need in one place

Everywhere you go, you'll find 'Aliya' (Elephant) wall murals, statues - you name it, once you leave the hotel, you'll have only elephants in your mind.

The other most significant experience is the pool of course, Sigiriya rock fortress is at the backdrop and a gorgeous sight to see.

Food is not the greatest. I was expecting a buffet dinner but instead had to settle with the A La Carte and they didn't have that many options. Lunch was okay.

Rooms are spacious and clean.

Room tip: They have these tents like rooms in the wild which are awesome

The hotel is located close to Sigiriya and Lion's rock (10-15 min drive). You enter the hotel through a gate that reminded me of jurassic park, next you walk an impressive staircase to the reception, located in a huge open space, serving you with a truely dazzling view of the Lion's rock and it's green surroundings. Another eyecatcher is the stunning infinity pool. I have seen some pools in my life, but this one really topped them all (check pictures).

Then the rooms: nicely decorated, top quality beds, beautiful bathroom with rainshower and big bath.

The food: it's a 5 star hotel so you can expect some decent food, so no disappointment there either. You could see that the chef put a lot of efforts in his plates, all of this for very reasonable prives (to european standards).

Last but not least: props to the hotel staff, who were very friendly and helpful.

Top class hotel!! Definitely recommend.
