Went with lot of expectations to see the cultural angle of Sri Lanka but eventually it turned out to be more of an acrobat, flips and turns show. And at the end, it was coal walk which they term as firewalk. So, its nothing exceptional or out of the world amazing. Instead it was very below average.

The show lasts about an hour and I thought it was reasonable entertainment. Ten different dance types and fire walkers at the end. Unlike other reviews the dancers were faultless for our show and no mistakes

We had been recommended this performance by our Tuk Tuk driver, which we later came to realise was because drivers get a commission for every person they take to this awful performance. The dancers are amateur at best and this isn't what you expect from a traditional and "professional" dance group. The performers dropped their props, were out of sync with each other and just seemed to back flip all over the place to try and please the crowd (there are only so many back flips that can entertain a person). The rotten cherry on the stale cake was when the dancers offered to take a photo with us at the end and then demanded a minimum 1500 Rupee donation!! We couldn't believe the cheek. I would never recommend this to anyone. Such a shame because I was really looking forward to this performance.

It was pretty terrible so I’ll keep this brief as my mother told me, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”.

The dancing was amateur, dubious and completely out of sequence.

The price was too high (1000 rupees) and of course we were driven there by the tuk tuk driver to get his commission.

The surroundings were rancid.

The plate spinner dropped the plates.

This is a complete tourist trap. I can’t comment on other shows in Kandy but this was definitely an activity worth missing.

Ps. If they offer a photo at the end they then they expect a 1,500 rupee “donation” and are pretty forceful for the money.

Unless you are really in to cultural dancing this probably isn’t a place for you.

Lots of drumming and native dancing. Not my sort of place but others may enjoy it
