It was pretty terrible so I’ll keep this brief as my mother told me, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”.

The dancing was amateur, dubious and completely out of sequence.

The price was too high (1000 rupees) and of course we were driven there by the tuk tuk driver to get his commission.

The surroundings were rancid.

The plate spinner dropped the plates.

This is a complete tourist trap. I can’t comment on other shows in Kandy but this was definitely an activity worth missing.

Ps. If they offer a photo at the end they then they expect a 1,500 rupee “donation” and are pretty forceful for the money.

Unless you are really in to cultural dancing this probably isn’t a place for you.

Lots of drumming and native dancing. Not my sort of place but others may enjoy it

Looks like some guys get there in a hurry to dance just after finishing tuktuk shifts. Absolutely not recommended for 1k rupies.

The show is about an hour long and is 1000 lkr each. The dancers are energetic with bright, traditional costumes and all in all it was an entertaining show but a little samey in parts, and the music (drums/flute) was quite difficult to listen to for that long. Our six year old got a little fidgety in parts but we all enjoyed the fire-eating and the walking on coals at the end.

The show cost 1000 LKR per person and we watched it while waiting for the 6.40pm tooth casket opening. The hall is basic and toilets more basic..the performance was entertaining and kids enjoyed the fire eating and coal walk best
