Was looking for a good fresh empanada. Not the junk they sell by the busses on the tourist side of town. Found this gem thanks to trip advisor.... Had a beef and chicken empanada and both where super fresh just out the oven at 1:40 pm.

Crisp crunchy crust with a hint of sweetness. Plenty of filling.... Best empanada I had in Peru so far!

No pictures because it entered my belly too quickly...

I was here for a quick and light dinner
Top quality, home.made fresh empanadas (cheese, chicken or mixed) and cakes.
Low price for good quality
Some tables to sit.down eating, no additional price

You have to work a bit at searching out this small shop. I asked a local cop--they know where all the good places to eat are. Selection is limited. Seating is limited and usually taken by locals enjoying the food and drink. But the pastries are excellent and generous portions. My wife and I made it a point to return the following day for additional pastries.

In Aguas Calientes super and mini markets are super expensive. This place is a welcome alternative to buy stuff for your tours (E.g. empanadas only 6 Sol, on the main roads for about 16 Sol). Portions are big and super tasty.

A little hard to find, but well worth the effort! The empanadas were delicious! We had the chicken and aji empanada and we sat at the little tables inside the bakery. I highly recommend this little shop for a tasty savory treat!
