We didn't actually spend the night in the Kasbah, but instead on a camel tour over Easter weekend! Unfortunately when we inquired elsewhere, we received absurd high-pressure sales pitches, trying to charge hundreds of Euros. We were both very frustrated, and my partner didn't want to do the tour unless it was very cheap.
I was sure the camel tours were a lost cause. But when we arrived at Kasbah in the afternoon, they gave us the usual tea, a reasonable price offer, and time to discuss in private. It was an incredibly refreshing change from our previous experiences. We accepted, and that evening we were riding camels into the sunset.
We arrived at a small camp where we met a nice group including a Moroccan father and son who were visiting from living in Germany, a Spanish couple, and some American students. They fed us very well, and the next morning we watched a beautiful sunrise in the dunes.
Unfortunately that morning I had intestinal distress. I was the only one in the camp to get sick, so I attribute it to not washing my hands after riding the camels (dromedaries). Thankfully it passed quickly.
Upon returning to the Kasbah, our car trunk wouldn't open. We didn't know it at the time, but the heat made the lock jam up. They were very helpful in getting our trunk open, allowing us to shower, charging our devices, etc.
I very highly recommend the Kasbah Des Dunes for their integrity and affordability of their camel tours.
