To be honest, there are few cities I have seen as enchanting as Chaouen, but I think we really hit the jackpot with Casa Perleta. It wasn't officially open when we went, but we'd heard about it through a friend who knows the owner, so we thought we'd get in contact.
They were kind enough to give us a room at a reduced rate, as the place was not yet fully staffed. It had just been overhauled with full amenities, and we had our pick of the rooms, which each have their own handmade and unique character.
The building itself was beautifully finished, and the roof terrace was the perfect place to start the day with a Kahwah at sunrise, or to close out the night with a guitar and a G&T.
Begona, who runs the hotel, was absolutely delightful. Very warm and humourous, but never compromising on service. In fact, considering the service we experienced elsewhere in Morocco, this place was all the more remarkable in retrospect.
A definite recommendation.More
