Great place, staff are nice, rooms are clean and roomy. Great shower, great bed. Nice swimming pool. Open and spacious design (both the rooms and the lobby). Location is good, it's in the corner of the street, so it's quiet for Pai standards. Recommended for a long or short term stay.

As has been previously written, this resort has gone through numerous owners in the last few years & been through a renovation/upgrade programme. The outcome is a resort with pleasant gardens & relaxing pool & wonderful bedrooms.
Possibly the best shower in Thailand, a large hot rain shower.
Big shady balconies, with views to the river & mountain backdrop. Comfortable bed & pillows (not always the case in Thailand).
Decent Wifi, although not an issue for us.
Good central location at the bottom of walking street.
Lovely restaurant next to the river & a good breakfast. We can't wait to go back next year!!

Do not book this place as its a building site for the foreseeable future, noisy, dirty and annoying when you want peace and tranquility. Cant use the pool for the dust coming from thd workmen and the view is ruined by all the bright green plastic fencing.
The staff are pretty ignorant or maybe just rude we waited nearly twenty minutes to be acknowledged for drinks! Ridiculous!
For the money there are much nicer places in Pai

Second stay at this resort. Has changed owners in the last twelve months and is undergoing large upgrade so the outcome will remain to be seen.
Visited this time in the quiet season - July 2012.
One has to get used to the Thai way of doing things to give a real appraisal. They tend to let things run down during the low seasons then go hell-for-leather maintenance and renovation-wise just before the busy seasons.
This was the case during this stay but we were pre-warned and it wasnt a problem.
A very good resort to stay. The pool is a real bonus and not many Pai hotels have them - including Hotel des Artistes across the road - despite previous reviews. No comparisons really as des Artistes is very small in comparison.
Very good location, rooms are immaculate, grounds large and shady right beside the river. Right on the main walking streets. 150 metres to the bus station and 80 Baht to the airport.
Will definitely return as Pai is atmospheric and unique and this resort compliments that.
Avoid post xmas/new year as the Bangkok hordes make the place impossible to contemplate.
The walking streets have good markets every night.

Room Tip: The top floors have good views of the river and mountains
