Very quiet and beautiful place

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 14 Dec 2014via mobile
Nice Bungalows, very quiet at night. The bathrooms should be updated though. They're not old, but a bit dark. Its a minor drawback though. With decent bathrooms it would have been 5 points.
The place is hard to find at first. Its actually located on the right hand side at the entrance of Pai when coming from Chiang Mai, just before the gas station.

Village bungalow is a good 10 min walk out if town but the staff will drop you off and pick you up and really relaxing. The toilet washer and sink leaked, door didn't close properly, mossie net needed yet thoroughly relaxing. Don't bring a princess here but I really relaxed looking at the mountains.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the town area, Pai Reaunthai Village is nicely tucked by a small lane, overlooking the mountains. The location is excellent because once we get to the main road (route 1095) which takes about 1 minute by bike and maybe 2-3 minutes on foot, on the left is where most of the attractions of Pai are and to our right (maybe about 5 mins on bike and 15 mins on foot) is the main town area.

The room standard is pretty much on par with that of a countryside guesthouse. Overall the room was comfortable - blanket was enough for the cold nights and mosquito nets over the bed, clean but generally just a little run down (the toilet). To make up for it, the staff were very warm and friendly. Morning breakfast was a simple affair of porridge with pork balls, a glass of orange juice and free flow coffee/tea, very good for the cold mornings in December. And it really felt like home. Excellent place to relax and chill after a day of sight seeing.

Kudos to the male staff who checked us in. He offered to drive us to the motorbike rental place in town, brought us to a restaurant which we couldn't locate and drove us to the bus station at the end of our stay. Brownie points!
