You will not like this place if any of this fits you;
*You have moving disabilities, as there are steps everywhere. (After all, you'd live on a cliff-face overlooking the ocean.)
*You get scared by offroad driving. We'r talking 4WD, low gears and low speed. It's sketchy, muddy and steep.
*You can't be reliant on taxi-service or driving these roads yourself.
*You need your room 'cleaned' every day.
*You need A/C.
*You need a soft bed.
*You need WiFi and/or mobile coverage in your room.
*You need sun-chairs and an umbrella, not a hammock.
*You can't handle the basic (but completely OK) kitchen.
*You can be frightened by weather, as you will be in a bamboo hut with a huge view over the ocean, rather unprotected.
*Same go for bathing- (and sun-bathing) access; there is nothing protecting you, so it's not calm on windy days.
*You need loads of people and noise (bar waves) around you and walking distance to a party.
*You can't figure out things for yourself (the staff is really nice, but english-skills are basic).
*You can't handle small animals or bugs, after all; you are in the jungle!
If you can handle these things -or even like it-, you'll enjoy this place to the max.
Basically, for the price and what is advertised; This is an excellent place.
-Secluded, at the very end of the road.
-Jungle experience.
-Insane view of the ocean, from atop a cliff, that you can enjoy from your own hammock.
-Cheap eating and drinking.
-Extremely good snorkeling, if you climb down the steep stairs/footpath to the ocean.
-The dive site 'King Kong' is theoretically a few meters away and you can see over to Shark Island (and other dive sites).
-This is the true Koh Tao experience, not how the main stretch has become.
In my few days stay, I'v encountered;
-Squirrels (they even stole some cookies in my room)
-Crabs (they might lurk in your 'bathroom', which by the way; is outside)
-Geckos/lizards (>40cm)
-Snakes
-Dogs (2 residents) and a bird that speaks to you.
+bugs (spiders and mosquitos mainly, but it's the same situation all over the island)
