Great location on a brilliant bay. We were expecting to be in a bungalow on the cliffside or something from what the pictures suggested online, but I suppose we did only book a standard double room with fan so I should have lowered my expectations.
Room was basic with a cold shower - this was not noted on the site where we booked and we weren't happy about this but didn't bother kicking up a fuss about it with the staff.
Pool is a nice addition, not that we ever used it because the sea is lovely.
Restaurant not bad but not mind blowing either; we had breakfast there one day.
Staff are friendly and helpful and booked us a taxi to the pier.

Stayed here with my boyfriend and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms at JP resort. Lovely and clean with large fans and great views. Decor is a bit old fashioned but that matters little, with the beach so near you rarely spend time in your room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

We stayed at JP Resort the night before our trip to AnThong. The room was plain but comfortable and clean. The A/C worked great and the showers were nice. Our rooms were about 25 meters from the water. The hotel has a pool across the street, but with the ocean right there, we didn't visit it. We took advantage of the masseuse on staff and got a nice massage. The hotel is well-located to walk around and visit the shops and restaurants.

Room tip: I'd stay on the beach side, older but less expensive and well-situated.

The room view was amazing!!! It's very clean and the staff at front desk is very helpful. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is big. The room has a balcony with chairs to enjoy the view. The swimming pool is large. It's just in front of one of the best beaches in Koh Tao, Chalok Baan. Love this place!!!

Room tip: The best view of the bay is from room 26.

This place is literally "just okay". Really nice pool cleaned daily but the rooms are a bit of a mess. The AC rooms clearly were converted to such after the fact - AC is basically shoved in there but the room isn't sealed properly (louvred windows and gaps around the door) and the AC unit itself doesn't actually get cold properly. The fan that was originally there was still there but was broken. Small things but taken together they have an impact. Food at the restaurant is again "just okay" - suggest you head to Ying Yangs for the best Thai food around and it's only 5 mins walk away!
