Stayed for 5 nights in August. We were looking for a nice beach location with decent swimming/snorkeling to round off a Thai holiday. The location is remote (which we knew) but is pretty, beach is lovely and although the water wasnt too clear this time of year its still pretty good and i loved the abundance of giant clams. The hotel room was good and the pool is very nice.

As others have said the location is remote and getting to othe locations expensive. The hotel can give transfers out for a decent rate (150 per person to Thong Sala) getting back can cost up to 1000 baht or more as few people come this way and the taxis like to share. There are a few small shops and restaurants locally .. so if you arent bothered about going round the islandthen not a big deal.

What lets the place down is the level of staff management. Few staff speak english (only 1 really i have met on reception). The restaurant staff are not very friendly and dont really get service. A lot more could be done to make the restaurant better (lighting on tbe ouside tables so you dont end up sitting in the dark), but there doesnt seem to be any management looking at these issues.

Also word of warning .. they give each room a qifi login which wiil only allow 2 devices to be connected.

So overall a good hotel that could easily be better.

Room tip: Great beach and good snorkelling but remote location

We stayed at the resort for 6 nights. The resort pool was lovely and along with the friendly staff, the best assets of the resort. The common areas could do with some maintenance, though mainly cosmetic. The biggest disappointment was that the bar used very cheap/nasty spirits and I suspect were filling main brand bottles with cheap equivalents. This seems to be the normal on Koh Phangan as I experienced it at all the bars along the beach at neighboring resorts, though have not experienced it in Koh Samui or Phuket before at resorts. Me and my friends decided to buy bottles of spirits from the store across the street and only order mixers at the bars to avoid serious hangovers from the cheap spirits. This was a disappointment. The Restaurant Manager was amazing and helped arrange a lunch for 40 of us, on the same day we advised. This was greatly appreciated. Overall a great experience, though bring your own spirits.

On arrival (it was dark) we were told we had to pay 100% up front. Which we thought odd.

Then we realised, woke up to a construction site next door and along the beach. They are adding an extension and new beach accommodation.

While the pool is nice, the staff should have warned us about he works.

When we asked for 50% of our money back as we wanted to move the response "we can do that, it's your fault for not checking"

You couldn't relax by the pool in the day or on the beach as lots of sawing, drilling and hammering.

I'm sure it will be delightful once finished but while on holiday..... it is not.

Went with my family wife and two kids
Come with a faire and had free pick up from the hotel.
Check in very fast and than got a key to the room with this key you turn the lower on and when you go out you take the key and the power shut down.

The pool is clean and big the kids loved it

Breakfast was nice and the service was great as long a you come untill 08:30 after that when many people come to eat the service is bad and the the is nothing to eat.

If you wanted to wash your self at the bath you better get ready to be burned because of very low water pressure and up/down cold and got water.

The hotel is stuck in the middle of no where its nice for relax one max two days because getting out from this hotel is crazy expensive.

Also if you wanted wifi look it outside near the pool at 23:00 because in the room this is almost impossible to use.

For summery:

If you wanted quiet and relax for short time with out getting out this is your place

If you wanted more than been stuck in the hotel with out normal water to wash and see cockroach all the time looks for another hotel.

If you look for great area for picture and relax on the beach this is for you

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. It's a bit isolated with 3 other hotels so it's peaceful whch is what I wanted. Nice size room and a decent breakfast. It's not far to all the bars and restaurants either. If u can ride a scooter get one. Much cheaper and better way to see the island
