Great location (beach side) outside on main drag, very messed up, smelly and dangerous. Nice rooms, cleaned daily, limited amenities. No late night service, late at night taxis or puks hard to find. No staff on after 10.

Room Tip: Front beach chalets only

Very happy with Nakara Longreach Resort. The resort is going through some updates so there is a bit of construction but its not too loud or inconvenient. Rooms are clean, and staff was friendly and helpful, but the management need to ensure that the front desk ladies have all the correct Information on hand when you arrive. We also rented a motorbike for a day from the front desk, relatively inexpensive and almost required if you want to travel around Koh Lanta. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the breakfast buffet, basic and not as good we had encounted in all our travels to Thailand. I am not sure if this was because of the low season, but they need to change the menu each day and offer more dishes. I would recommend staying here if you are travelling to Koh Lantra which is a more peaceful destination than Phuket.

Room Tip: Rooms around the pool are recommended

Very happy with Nakara Longreach Resort, we chose this resort on recommendation from friends who had stayed a couple weeks prior. The resort is going through some updates so there is a bit of construction but its not too loud or inconvenient. We booked a Superior suite but were immediately upgrade to a Deluxe which was closer to the beach and right in front of the pool (very nice and clean), perfect for us. Rooms are clean, there are some lizards and bugs around but thats a given due to the location near the beach and the vegetation around the island. Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially the front desk ladies helping us book tours and transfers. We also rented a motorbike for a day from the front desk, relatively inexpensive and almost required if you want to travel around Koh Lanta. We just needed to leave a piece of ID as repost before we returned the keys. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the breakfast buffet, it was okay -- only had an omelette/egg station 1 out of the 4 breakfasts we had and everything else was subpar. The sunset is very beautiful from long beach! I would definitely recommend staying here and if I find myself back in Koh Lanta, I will be a returning customer!

The location is amazing with a sunset on the beach most evenings and local beach front bars and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and had a smile throughout the day. The lady on reception helped us book a couple of boat trips. The cleaners came daily and left some lovely arranged towels (elephants, birds, turtle). We had a couple of small issues that maintenance sorted quickly. The breakfast was a self serve buffet which was only okay but did have a fresh omelette station that was good. They have plenty of sunbeds and hotel towels to use around the pool which is in a lovey setting. We only ate at the hotel for some lunches as the kids wanted to stay around the pool. The food was good if not a little over the price you would pay up the street. The day of the wedding was beautiful and the hotel took care of all arrangements well. The beds were slightly too firm for me but others in our party loved them. We hired scooters from the hotel for a week at a good price so we could explore the island a little.

We booked 2 rooms/king bed but when arrived they moved us to a double bed room. In the evening, we were having dinner at 16:30 while GM was walking around us and told the staff that he want to move us where we were sitting because some VIPs will be arriving at 18:30. GM was so rude to us and unprofessional. ROOM was horrible and dirty. NO security in the hotel.
