There are a number of types of accommodation here starting with the expensive beach front option that is nice clean and comfortable but a bit tired on the outside. These are overpriced during peak season but a good option during shoulder season. The better option and my recommendation are the luxury rooms in the row behind the beach front; you get the best location at a cheaper price. The resort is undergoing a long overdue upgrade in the standard and superior sections i.e. on the side nearest the restaurant.
The breakfast in my experience varies depending on the number of guests staying at the time- During low season we were offered a set menu and at other times there was a buffet that was adequate but not to the standard of the top end resorts.
If arranged in advanced they offer a free transfer from the pier in Saladan .A free daily one way transfer into Saladan is also available.
The beach is good for swimming but may not be the best option on the island for kids. There are good local restaurants within walking distance- Try Mr Greens on the main road for cheap genuine Thai food.More
