Returned to Splash for our third trip. Their set up is extremely convenient and their dive instructors and dive masters, Uys, Chris, Cheyenne and Alex are all great to dive with. They were accommodating in setting up a night dive. The staff at the restaurant/hotel is also great- happy to see that Sterling remembered us and made us feel welcome. Eliazar helped us to check out

Would highly recommend coming to dive and stay here.

Kathy and I are budget travelers in our seventies. We are experienced snorklers with several locations on our list. NOWHERE were the people better than at Splash Inn! The food was also exceptional. The owners, Paulo and Kathy, were very gracious and accommodating. From the head waiter, Jose, to the smiling maid, the staff was perfect. The desk staff of Eliazar, Connie, Marvin, and Darol were always very helpful and friendly. Marvin, especially, was helpful to my wife from our first online contact to our final departure. The waiters, Jose, Sterling, Anthony, Marlon, and Ivan were perfect in every way. I exchanged email addresses with Jose and Eliazar and consider them friends. The dive shop personnel (Chris, Anna, Cheyenne, and Alex) who ferried us to snorkeling sites were professional and also friendly, and helpful. Even the boat captain, Elbie, was great. Everyone made us feel at home. We will miss them all.

We just returned from a week stay at Splash Inn. We enjoyed 7 nights stay and 15 dives each. First I will review the dive operation, and then I will review the Inn and restaurant.

Right away the dive staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. My husband forgot his dive computer at home, and Uys ("Ace") offered his spare computer for Dave to use for the week. How generous! Christian leads the dive center, and it is run smoothly and very organized. They arranged Nitrox for us to use for the week. We are both in our 60s, and the dive staff made us feel welcome and at home.

The accounting of the dive operation was tracked by Jannel, who ran an efficient desk in the dive shop.

Most of our dives were led by Uys ("Ace"), with Chris, Alex, and Anna as dive assistants. The dives were all well planned with well-paced decent, great dive profiles, and safe ascents. Many of the second and third dives of the day were over an hour. Each dive was full of lush fish life, coral, sponges, and lots of turtles! Ace, Chris, Alex and Anna were helpful to those that needed assistance, and left you alone if you were able and confident to dive on your own (but within safe eyesight of the dive staff). It was the perfect blend of support when you needed it, and independence when you wanted it. The ratio of divers to staff was often 3:1 with small groups.

Most sites are close to the resort, so it was really nice to return to land in-between dives. The Inn provided melon and pineapple pieces in-between dives. Splash took care of all movement of gear from the dive shop to the boat and back again.

Christian posts the dive sites and names of divers on a white board... so handy for those that keep a dive log.

We went on an awesome night dive led by Alex and Chris. They provided flashlights to each diver. They explained that about 40 minutes into our dive we would come to a sandy spot on the ocean floor and kneel there and turn off our flashlights to see bioluminescence. We had a small group and this experience of kneeling on the ocean floor and seeing the bioluminescence was magical! I have never experienced something so unexpectedly beautiful and awe-inspiring.

After the night dive, the Inn had a pizza pie delivered to the dive shop for all of us to enjoy. And Christian repaired a leak in my BCD hose at no charge. Such a generous service!

On one day we took a special excursion with Splash Inn owner and Ace and Alex to the island of Cayos Cochinos. On the way, Ace and Alex led us on a dive at a pinnacle that is about 45 feet below the surface of the open ocean. There was an abundance of fish of all varieties, colors, and sizes. So many types of coral and sponges. An incredibly beautiful dive site. After that we went to the island of Cayos Cochinos to interact with local fisher people and residents. It is clear that the staff of Splash Inn have a good relationship with local people and local peace officers. This excursion was well organized, and Splash Inn supplied shacks, pizza wraps and fruit. This excursion and the night dive were the highlights of our week of diving!

Now on to the staff of the hotel and restaurant. The food in the restaurant is delicious. We had the grilled mixed seafood platter for our 10th wedding anniversary dinner, and it was super good. So much food that we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Eliazar, Edwin, Jose, Dubon, Stevling, Anthony, Marian, Edwin, Jose and Ivan were all polite, friendly and attentive.

Splash Inn impressed us with their efforts to be "green". No plastic straws (kudos!), they used cardboard leftover containers, no plastic shampoo bottles. A really good idea is your room key operates the air conditioner. This is so innovative!

The rooms are clean and nice. It is amazing to be able to wake up in your bed, leave your room, find the dive shop right there, and the dock directly across the street from the Inn. The restaurant is right next door to the dive shop. So convenient. It is also really close to other great restaurants and drinking establishments. Even though it is close to night life, Splash Inn is quiet and safe.

Usually after a week of diving we are exhausted and ready to come home. But after this week of diving we wanted to stay and dive more! It was relaxing and still invigorating. Everyone at Splash was helpful and polite and made our vacation a delight!

We are already planning our next dive trip to Splash Inn. Can't wait!

Room Tip: Great view from room 26 - second floor with view of ocean and dock.

I just had 7 great days at Splash Inn Dive resort. Sterling, Eliazar, Ivan, Edwin and Derrol were always very friendly and helpful. They always had a smile on their faces and made you feel very welcome! Dive masters Ace, Alex, Chris and Anna were awesome! They went above and beyond what I had expected. They even spent time with you after their work was done for the day. Alex even invited the whole group to her house for some lion fish ceviche! Overall everyone at the Dive resort were awesome!

We had a great time staying at Splash Inn! We did a lot of research before booking, we even tried somewhere else for the first bit of our holiday, but it didn't come close to Splash Inn.

From day one, we were greeted with a smile from Derrol - his kindness, friendliness and helpfulness made our experience exceptional. The rest of the staff Edwin, Marvin, Elicazar and Marconi were as helpful and welcoming.

The rooms are clean and maintained daily. A perfect room for a holiday, great for a diving trip - hot water showers and comfy beds!

We ate in the restaurant several times too - foods great! Dubon, Ramiro, Ivan and Soguey all made this experience great!

All in all, we had a great experience and we will definitely be back on our next trip to Roatan!
