We spent 2 weeks at Coral Sea Splash (28 Jan - 11th Feb 13) - and we had a fantastic time. Our first trip to Egypt and loved this hotel. The Staff are so polite and and cannot do enough for you. The food was excellent in the main buffet restaurant and I would recommend you also go to the Asian and American restaurants. Don't listen to other guests if they say they didn't like it, just try it because they really are delicious.
The rooms were kept spotless by housekeeping, pool bar staff worked so hard - special thanks to Ramy - such a lovely guy and kept us supplied with drinks all day - and then in the sports bar in the evening.
The animation team were fantastic - they work so hard and make sure everyone is having fun - lots of activities if you want to join in. They really are a great bunch and thanks to Luke, Bob, Keemo, Rachel, Cheryl, Larissa and Caz - for giving us such great memories. If you are lucky enough to be there when Keemo does his " speciality act" I guarantee you will be amazed!!!

Room Tip: We were in room 5117 - Ground floor and right next to the pool.

We were greeted on arrival with a refreshing drink. Book in was really quick & then a golf buggy ride to the room. The room was very well decorated & spacious. We had a pool view ground floor with a sitting area outside the sliding doors. This lead straight to the pool area meaning we didn't have to take a bag or anything as we used the loungers right outside the room. The pool area was kept very clean & the pool was heated. The pool bar was great & Ramy was an excellent. Always there with a drink for you.
The food was well cooked & the theme nights had a variety of dishes. Both the Oriental & American restaurants are worth the visit. In fact as the resort was not full we went twice to each.
The waiting staff were all very friendly & would have a laugh & joke with you. Jamel was brill.
There are a few shops in the resort & they are hassle free. You must visit the watch & bag shop as it is run by a Mr Bean look alike.
The day time & evening entertainment provided by the 5 star animation was excellent. There were games during the day (water volleyball, water polo, crazy killer darts etc (with 2 odd darts which was interesting(hope they got the set I sent out) & a quiz at 3.15. In the evening there was a variety of entertainment from a quiz, belly dancing, karaoke, to the show put on by the animation team. By the way the most of them are nutters especially the 2 Egyptian lads
The water park was great fun & they have a variety of slides which will keep you happy for hours. The wave pool is heated & feels like a very warm bath.
There is a stone baked restaurant next to the resort that will give a 25% discount. I did not eat there but people who did said it was excellent value for money
Out side the resort there are loads of shops & the new Hard Rock Café Bar that has only just opened.
The beach is approx. a 10 minute walk away (which was the only downside to this holiday) Once down on the beach there are loungers etc. that you can use. A suggestion to the resort management, there was nowhere to get a drink at the beach without having to pay for it. Would it not be a good idea to put a small kiosk down there that your all inclusive guest could use?
All in all this was an excellent break

Room Tip: Not sure if the swim uprooms are worth the upgrade but do try to get a ground floor pool view room

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks from mid January to early February 2013. We booked around 3 months before and had time to look at

Plus points:
- Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms
- Fabulous variety of food at the buffet
- An animation team that make a real effort with every holidaymaker and don't stop moving!
- Great pools/slides
- Entertaining evening shows
- There are lots of different areas to relax, from quiet to lively.
- The staff are all friendly
- The staff keep the place spotlessly tidy
- There are plenty of shops nearby and you can get taxis/shuttle buses to other areas
Minus points:
- There isn't a jetty linked to the hotel so the beach isn't much use unless you want to paddle out a long way. Apparently you can 'negotiate' with the security guards on the jetties if you wish but we didn't bother.
- If you are going for two weeks the outside entertainment is repeated on the same day the following week (although you get to see the rather bizarrely impossible to get dizzy spinning man - say no more!).
- Internet is a bit pricey (but you can go to nearby coffee or fast food outlets and get free wifi)
- I did get a stomach bug the first week and gastroenteritis the second week! I have to say I think the hotel are trying really hard to ensure standards of hygiene are maintained so I'm not sure why I got so ill.

Recommended:
- Eat at the American and Asian restaurants using your vouchers
- Visit Soho Square for hassle-free shopping
- Listen to the musicians in the lobby bar
- Have a go on the water rides
- Visit Elfanar beach (private beach 20 mins away with £6 entrance - free towel to hire and bottle of water)
- Visit Old Market for better bargains
- Watch out for smelly camels!

Overall I would really recommend this hotel, particularly if you prefer the pool to the beach. We had a really relaxing stay there.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room next to the main pool which had no balcony but had a seating area inside and was easy to go to and from when using the pool.

We've just got back from a great week at Coral Sea Splash (3rd - 10th Feb 13). It's our fourth visit to Egypt and our best yet. The food, service, animation team, cleaning, entertainment were all excellent.
We had a room right by the pool which was very handy.
We were concerned before we went that the hotel would not be suitable for a couple in their 50s but it was fine.
All the staff were helpful without expecting tips.
We had a fantastic time, thanks to the great animation team.
The only complaint was that some staff and guests tipped their sweet drink leftovers on the flower beds which attracted more flies. There were a few mosquitoes but less than on previous visits to Egypt and none in the room.
Thanks to all and we'll see you next year!

We were meant to be going to egypt in May to celebrate a 50th birthday, but, due to one of our party becoming pregnant we had to change the dates and hotel. SOOOO glad we did. The Coral Sea Splash ticks all our boxes,
The hotel is well maintained and very clean.
The food was of a very high standard.
The pools are amazing, great fun and we spent a lot of time in them and on the slides.
What makes the hotel stand out are the staff, ALL of them. They can not do enough for you. The cleaners, the gardeners and the porters....all very polite and eager to please. The waiters and the many bar staff work tirelessly, and always with a smile. the entertainment team are a great
bunch of guys, Luke, Bob, Rachel,Larrisa, Cheryl, Keemo...you truly are stars and made our holiday one will will cherish...thank you, and hope to see you next year.
