well once again as promised i would give my honest genuine opinion on the coral sea splash resort hotel in sharm as i previousley gave my honest reviews last time in maris dolphin hotel in marmaris......Ok the coral....it was our first time in egypt and had a good time but that was mainly because it was nice to see the kids enjoy themsselves as it only catered really for kids so the the slides were brilliant and lazy river ect. plenty in the day for the kids to do like swim swim and play and more play with the splash areas.
Kids club i felt was very poor thay certainley did not do enough to entice the kids into the the club and when thay did thay sat them in from a video ........... mmmmmmm. personally it would be more of fun and getting them up around the pool follow the the leader ect ect but no hence the club was very very quiet.
Night entertainment for adults was lame so early night its was.
pool staff and hotel staff where lovely and did anything for you to make things enjoyable.
A big credit to our cleaner and how lovely our room was cleaned and lots of owel decorations made by him.
we were in room 1203 and a big WOW not what i expected the room was massive with 2 balconys en-suite and another bathroom, lounge 2 bedrooms totally spacious comfortable.
Food was poor, ok suppose to get bye but thay concentrated to much on different types of breads which thay had loads but more thought into the menu would been better. the fruits on display was limp looking not crisp and fresh and inviting the bananas looked like thay been there for a month before we arrived. catering staff were lovely but sorry there panacakes were like rubber, there salad was lame basically the food looked warmed up ect. not good more like a 3 star hotel on food i was dissapointed to find on to seperate occasions hair in our food i was not amused to say the least as i particular on cleanliness. None of the chefs wore hair nets which i believe or employ a shaved hair chef nothing more off putting than hair in your food.first week we got there fantastic in there service in dinning room 2nd week lacked motivation with longer stayng guests.
The pools were a bit cold and could of done with them all heated.

drinks in hotel was average.

overal enjoyed egypt but would not return, too much hassle from outside the hotel, beach was not good, as in sand but water lovely and safe shallow for little ones.

the best meal we had was at the beach PATAYA beach sooo clean fresh and crips cheap and filling all cooked by a chef called SAID.

falcon travel opposite macdonalds was the best for excursions fair price, fab quading really good company and cheap to book with.

i rate this hotel 5/10 . this is my honest opinion. would i go back to this hotel. mmmm dont think so but not dissapointed we booked there.

i hope all this helps.

I travelled from 13th-20th Novemeber and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived with the buggies to our room and the suitcases being dropped of untill departure. The rooms were lovely and spacious. We had a pool view with no trouble getting sunbeds at all even after 10am. The pool bar staff bring drinks to you and work so hard. The entertainment staff work very hard with the childen and in the shows. The buffett restaurant had alot of choice and we also ate in the asian and american which were both lovely. The bar staff in the evening made our holiday!! They were surperb. All in all could not fault at all and will be returning to coral sea splash!

We ended up here by mistake (we were supposed to be in Coral Sea Resort) and nearly had heart failure. For us this was a nightmare but we were only there 2 days. This is on the opposite side to the beach and as the beach is occupied by hotels the only area you can go is rocky. Also obviously as this is an all inclusive hotel you would have to buy drinks to take to the beach with you. The food is limited with not that much variety. The hotel itself was built this year and so is fantastic with lovely rooms, bar area, reception etc. Woken at 6.30am by screaming children running up and down the hallway. Overlooking the pool (as most rooms were) with extremely loud music all day long. The 'spash water slide area' is great for kids and the most popular was he 'flo rider' where you can surf. My son queued for ages for this but the staff spent more time playing on it. The animations team members, the staff member who worked on the flo rider, and other staff members who monitored other slides just came and went on the flo rider whenever they pleased. As a result my som queued for over an hour (in the heat) to go on this, there were only three other people in front of him but he had to wait whilst the staff 'played'. He fell off almost straight away and was told his turn was over. Appalling. We also had a 17 year old daughter and some of the male staff constantly asked how old she was whilst they leered. One staff member 'Charlie' laid on top of her whilst she was sunbathing, (on her tummy). We were disgusted and told him to bugger off (not that politely). This hotel was not for us as we prefer the more relaxing holiday. I have been to Butlins and to me it was just like that. If you want the beach holiday then I would advise against this hotel.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms if you like to relax. You can always here the music and noise as all rooms o...

Just back from this resort 18th Nov and in the face of a surprising number of positive "reviews" feel I must set the record straight or at least present an alternative perspective.
First the good news - this is a family orientated resort and the kids do seem to love it. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and with excellent air con. The gardens and buildings being fairly new are relatively well kept. The pools were clean and in general the staff were very helpful. The Asian diner we found to be superb and the kids menu at lunchtime kept them (and many adults!!) happy - the various breads were always delicious. At off peak times, the service was exceptional. The animation team were very hard working and enthusiastic engaging well with all guests. Smoking was not allowed inside any of the buildings.
The negatives - its a tiny resort, much smaller than implied in the brochures. The Payeta beach can only be described as desolate with even the staff joking about it, its also further away than the 1/2 kilometer claimed and you need to pay for food and drink when you (finally) get there!!.
Food - lacks variety and quality - biggest dissapointment, same stuff with a slightly different sauce, soups are mostly tasteless, beware the infamous "home made chips" they are frequently undercooked to the point they are inedible (this includes the potato skins in the American diner by the way). We had numerous issues with dirty glasses, cups and cutlery - bit of a worry. The lounge bar we called the departure lounge as it was totally devoid of atmosphere - it was so bad that, despite being all inclusive, we went out into Nabq visiting Bar one, Vista and Bus stop bars - all are recommended and we had a great time.
The resort was half full yet the service at peak times became a little frayed with orders being forgotten and drinks not being refilled - occasionally the staff got a bit hot under the collar.
Dont understand other reviews saying there was no queuing for pizza or "specials" - there most certainly was!!
Nabq - Nowhere near Naama Bay or even the half finished Hurghada in terms of facilities - we have stayed in both these area in the last 18 months.
The pool - loungers packed like sardines, no space or even minimal privacy - tormented by flies by day and mosquitos at night- as for the music at the pool - too loud and too bland.
Hassle - Fed up telling staff we did not want a massage - this is hotel staff, not outsiders by the way
Conclusion:-
For a family holiday or scuba divers - 3.5 stars - kids love the water!!
For couples - 3 stars - you can do better in Naama
